UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON (DCMR) 16:02:00 220217000217 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION - MISDEMEANOR; UNREGISTERED FIREARM - MISDEMEANOR; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE; CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT; TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SE, displaying a faded Maryland temporary tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Washington Avenue, SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed an expired registration. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia with no status in Maryland or Virginia. R/O conducted a search of the Suspect and discovered a handgun in the Suspect's waistband, and a magazine was removed from the Suspect's front pocket. A WALES/NCIC check of the recovered firearm revealed the weapon was not registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. During the search of the Suspect in processing, a black pouch containing multiple rocks was discovered in the Suspect's sock. A field test determined them to be Methamphetamine and Accentamine mixed with OxyContin.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) 08:17:00 220126000118 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - HIT & RUN; FELON IN POSSESSION/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - FIREARM; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM; UNREG AMMO - MISD; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON (MACHINE GUN); OTHER - UNLAWFUL TRANSPORTATION OR RECEIPT OF IMPORTED FIREARM; UCSA - POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - FELONY; UCSA - POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTAANCE MISD/MARIJUANA; OTHER - RECEIVE/POSSESS FIREARM WITH REMOVED/OBLITERATED/ALTERED SERIAL NUMBER; TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID R/O responded to the eastbound I-695 ramp prior to the South Capitol Street exit to assist with a traffic accident. While on the scene, the Suspect exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. The Suspect ran to the unit block of G Street, SW, where Assisting Officers located the Suspect under a parked vehicle, and took the Suspect into custody. A Witness advised R/O that the Suspect had thrown something near the bleachers of the Randall Recreation Center Baseball Fields. R/O-2 canvassed the area, and located a handgun with obliterated serial numbers, fifteen rounds in the weapon, with a switch to convert the weapon to a fully-automatic machine gun. CSS responded and processed the scene. A search of the Suspect revealed multiple clear plastic bags containing a green, leafy substance that field tested positive for THC, and one clear bag containing 31 white pills identified as oxycodone. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, and a prior felony conviction. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON (DCMR) 15:30:00 220112000041 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION/TRANSPORTATION OF A SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLE; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM - MISDEMEANOR (X2) R/Os responded to Headquarters to speak to an individual that reported she had information regarding the siege of the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021. During the voluntary, noncustodial interview, the Suspect pointed to her vehicle. R/O observed said vehicle illegally parked in front of Headquarters, and could see cases typically used to transport firearms. The Suspect confirmed there were firearms in the vehicle. CSS recovered three firearms, a pellet gun, and ammunition. R/O placed the Suspect under arrest and transported her to Headquarters for processing.
