WASHINGTON, DC - The 34th Annual National Peace Officers Memorial Service will be held on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015. This ceremony honors all law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in 2014.
Street Closures & Bus Restrictions:
On Thursday, May 15, the streets listed below near the West Front of the Capitol will be closed to vehicular traffic:
- First Street SW/NW between Independence and Constitution Avenues
- Pennsylvania Avenue, NW from First Street, NW to Third Street, NW
- Maryland Avenue, SW from First Street to Third Street
Tour buses will be rerouted to Third Street, SW / NW for drop off and pick up on Thursday, May 15.
