Brick Incident at Cannon Door

Today, at approximately 12:00 p.m., the United States Capitol Police arrested Jasper CROWN, of no fixed address, for Destruction of Government Property outside of the Cannon House Office Building. CROWN was arrested after throwing a brick at the Cannon Rotunda Door located at the corner of New Jersey and Independence Avenue SE.

The incident began when officers working inside the door heard a loud bang outside of the Cannon Rotunda Door. Unaware of whether or not it was the sound of gunshots, the officers immediately exited the doors with their weapons drawn gaining custody of CROWN.

CROWN was arrested and subsequently transported to the US Capitol Police Headquarters Building at 119 D Street for processing.

CROWN is described as a white male, 46 years of age, wearing a dark colored business suit and a known nuisance to the US Capitol Police.
