The Public Gates for Tonight’s A Capitol Fourth Concert Open at 7:00 p.m.
Due to the excessive heat, the public gates for tonight’s (July 3) A Capitol Fourth Concert at the U.S. Capitol will now open at 7:00 p.m. The concert still starts at 8:00 p.m.
The National Weather Service is forecasting extreme heat with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees.
To ensure a safe concert, all guests are strongly encouraged to bring an ample supply of water to stay hydrated. Non-glass water bottles and coolers are allowed. To ensure a more efficient screening process, please reduce the number of other items.
People at risk for heat-related health issues should exercise extra caution. As a reminder, the concert will be broadcast on public television stations (check local listings) and streaming online, so people can watch from the comfort of their homes.
