Senate Sergeant at Arms Terrance W. Gainer and the Senate community will be dedicating a tree to honor the men and women of the U.S. Capitol Police on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at 3:30 p.m. at the bottom of the Northwest Drive (on the Southeast corner of First St., NW and Constitution Ave., NW).
A Valley Forge American Elm will be dedicated to honor all of the officers who have taken an oath to protect the members of Congress, their staff, and visitors with great diligence and professionalism.
All interested media are welcome to attend the tree dedication ceremony.
