On Thursday, May 13, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., a ceremony will be held in the Upper Senate Park to welcome the new United States Capitol Police Horse Mounted Patrol.

The United States Capitol Police (USCP) will also take this opportunity to show our appreciation to Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell for the strong support he has given to the mounted patrol. USCP will also like to thank the United States Park Police for the numerous hours they have provided in training and the use of their facility. Lastly, USCP will like to recognize the efforts of all individuals who have assisted in the implementation of this program.

This event will commemorate the introduction of the new mounted patrol and serve as the first public appearance of the new USCP horses-Tribute, Patriot, Liberty, Justice, Honor, and Freedom.
