ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREG FIREARM - MISD UNREG AMMO - MISD FLEEING FROM POLICE OFF - MISD TRAFFIC - RECKLESS DRIVING RESISTING ARREST. | 14:11:00 | 230323000560 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed through the intersection of Fourth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. R/O continued to observe the vehicle driving erratically and disobeying multiple traffic laws prior to a traffic stop being conducted in the 700 Block of South Carolina Avenue, SE. R/O attempted to detain the Suspect, who resisted by grabbing the steering wheel and attempted to drive away. The Suspect was placed under arrest and a search was conducted resulting in the recovery of a firearm. A/O responded to the scene and processed a .45 caliber pistol and nine rounds of ammunition. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the firearm was not registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A responded to interview the Suspect. | |

ADDITIONAL CHARGE: TRAFFIC - FICTITIOUS TAG | 11:37:00 | 230321000534 | R/O observed a vehicle with temporary tags that appeared to be fictitious, and travelled eastbound in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of C Street SE. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check which confirmed the vehicle's tags were fictitious, and the Suspect's District of Columbia permit was revoked with no valid status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O smelled an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFST's were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and taken to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had two misdemeanor bench warrants issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The check also revealed the Suspect's permit was suspended in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
