A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Washington Avenue. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 02:56:00 | 220122000095 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UCSA-POSSESSION OF DRUGS PARAPHENALIA - MISD; ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR; RESISTING ARREST; POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL-VEHICLE R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 200 block of Pennsylvania, SE, commit several traffic infractions before stopping at a green light in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SE, and sitting through the light cycle. R/O conducted a traffic stop at Independence and New Jersey Avenues, SE. Upon approach, R/O detected odors of marijuana and an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. While trying to place the Suspect under arrest, he became aggressively combative toward the officers. During the search incident to arrest, drug paraphernalia was found on the Suspect's person, and an open container of alcohol was found in the vehicle. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Suspects were warned to cease and desist with their unlawful demonstration activities, but they failed to stop. Twenty-eight Suspects were placed under arrest and processed on scene. | |
| DEFACING GOVERNMENT PROPERTY-MISD DC CODE 22-3312. | 21:26:00 | 220120000082 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: DEFACING GOVERNMENT PROPERTY-MISD DC CODE 22-3312 R/O observed the Suspect writing with a Sharpie on the wall in front of USCP Headquarters Building. The Suspect began running westbound on D Street, NE, through Lower Senate Park toward Columbus Circle, NE. The Suspect was stopped by multiple USCP units at the intersection of North Capitol Street and E Street, NE. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that a second location was defaced by the Suspect in the 100 block of D Street, NE. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
| UUV - FELONY | 13:15:00 | 220118000064 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE; FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; RECKLESS DRIVING; LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE; CARRYING PISTOL W/O LICENSE; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the unit block of H Street, NE, which he recognized as a vehicle from a BOLO. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle was stolen. A traffic stop was attempted at Fourth and G Streets, NE, but the Suspects fled, driving erratically, and eventually becoming involved in a traffic crash causing property damage at Second and East Capitol Streets, SE. The Suspects exited the vehicle, dropping a firearm in the street, continuing to flee on foot. They were taken into custody without incident by the R/O and Assisting Officer. A/O retrieved the firearm from the street, which had a loaded large capacity feeding ammunition device inserted into the magazine well. Both Suspects were transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed the Suspect had a canceled District of Columbia driver's license with no status in Virginia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Suspects also sat on the Senate steps and began chanting loudly and holding a banner. The Suspects were warned to stop and desist with their unlawful demonstration activities, but they refused to do so. Twenty-eight Suspects were placed under arrest and processed on the scene. | |

While speaking with the Suspect, R/O smelled odors of an alcoholic beverage and marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
