TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 16:10:00 230109000040 R/O observed a vehicle with no tags in the 200 Block of Second Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the intersection of Second Street and Maryland Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's Maryland State Identification Card revealed no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. R/O asked the Suspect to exit the vehicle several times in which the Suspect failed to comply. A/O opened the Suspect's door and he reluctantly exited the vehicle. Search incident to arrest revealed a loaded firearm below the Suspect's belt. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded and processed the scene. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, an additional loaded magazine was recovered in the glove compartment. S/A confirmed through a WALES/NCIC check that the firearm was not registered in the District of Columbia. (dw)
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 03:26:00 230107000033 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a red light at the intersection of Washington Avenue and C Street SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed the Suspect had glassy, watery eyes and impaired coordination. SFST’s were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (jb)
SIMPLE ASSAULT DC CODE 22-404 15:00:00 230106000030 R/O responded to the area of Third Street and Maryland Avenue SW for a report of an assault. The Complainant stated that he was kicked in the back of his leg by an individual that had left the area. A look out was given by USCP Communications. A/O observed an individual matching the look out in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NW. R/O conducted a show up with the Complainant who confirmed the identity of the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (al)
FAILURE TO OBEY POLICE OFFICER 13:40:00 230106000028 R/O responded to the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW for a report of a group walking in the middle of the road. R/O made contact with the Suspect and advised her to move on to the sidewalk. The Suspect refused and continued walking westbound on Independence Avenue obstructing traffic. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (lg)
UUV - FELONY 11:30:00 230104000019 R/O observed a vehicle without a valid parking permit parked in the 200 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the VIN revealed the vehicle was stolen out of Virginia, the tag was reported lost in the District of Columbia, and belonged to another vehicle. The Command Center CCTV footage revealed the Suspect parked the stolen vehicle, and then left the scene as a passenger in another vehicle. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded and processed the scene. During an inventory search of the vehicle, three additional license plates belonging to various vehicles were recovered. S/A responded to the scene and will continue to investigate. (eb)
BENCH WARRANT-MISDEMEANOR 18:42:27 230103000012 R/O was approached by an individual at the North Door of Headquarters stating he had a bench warrant out of the District of Columbia. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an active bench warrant issued by the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (mf)
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 20:39:00 230102000005 R/O observed a vehicle at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Second Street NE, with inadequate illumination of the rear tag and no rear lights. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's New Mexico driver's permit was expired. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (jel)
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 17:34:00 221219001952 R/O observed a vehicle in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SE travelling the wrong direction on a one-way street. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed a suspended permit out of North Carolina with no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The two passengers advised R/O they did not possess a valid driver’s permit. A/O-1 conducted an inventory search of the vehicle and recovered an unregistered firearm and ammunition. A/O-2 responded to process the scene and recovered three additional firearms and ammunition. None of the Suspects possessed District of Columbia carry permits. A WALES/NCIC check revealed one of the Suspects had a prior felony charge on file. All Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. (eb)
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 11:16:00 221226001986 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the Unit Block of H Street NE commit multiple traffic violations. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of E Street NE at which time, the vehicle began reversing nearly striking the R/O's vehicle and stopped on the sidewalk. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid driver’s license in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia, and the vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded to process the scene. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. (mf)
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR 14:03:00 221225001985 R/0 observed the Suspect enter the Senate Carriage of the U.S. Capitol Building, which is a restricted area. R/O advised the Suspect to leave the area but they refused. The Suspect became combative and assaulted A/O. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-2 responded and processed the scene. (fj)
