Upon further investigation, R/O observed a male kicking the door located on the east side of the Taft Memorial. A subject stop was conducted in the same location. The grill of the door was bent inward, and pieces of the grill were located on the ground. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
| TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 00:56:00 | 220625000906 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID; OPERATING WITH IMPROPER TAGS R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 400 block of Second Street, NW, and pass through a solid red traffic signal at the intersection of Second and E Streets, NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O noticed the Suspect's eyes were watery and glassy. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's registration revealed that the tags belonged to a different vehicle, and the Suspect did not have a valid license in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. While conducting SFSTs, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from the Suspect's breath and person. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

| CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE - FELONY | 04:51:00 | 220624000887 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM (PRIOR CONVICTION); UNLAWFUL POSS OF AMMUNITION; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE; RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY - MISD; DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE 1ST OFF; TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRCUTIVE DEVICE R/O observed a vehicle at a traffic signal sit through two light cycles in the 500 block of South Capitol Street, SW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect unconscious and slumped over the in the driver seat with the engine running. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. R/O-2 observed a firearm loaded with a large capacity magazine in the center console while conducting a search incident to arrest. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's license revealed no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, and a check of the firearm returned with a stolen status out of Wilson County, North Carolina. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS responded to interview the Suspect at processing, and a background check revealed a prior felony conviction. | |
| FRAUD - $1000 OR OVER - FELONY | 13:22:00 | 220624000893 | ADDITIONAL CHARGE: IDENTITY THEFT CIS responded to the 400 block of Second Street, SW, for the report of fraud and identity theft. Upon arrival, the Suspect was being detained by a USCP Officer. When the Suspect was interviewed, he admitted to fraudulently obtaining a large sum of U.S. currency from the Complainant's bank account numerous times using a fraudulent identification card with the Complainant's personal identifiable information. Upon approach, R/O observed unescorted and non-credentialed Suspects in the hallway. During the investigation, R/O learned the Suspects had been escorted out of the Cannon House Office Building earlier in the day, and told they could not return to any buildings unless escorted by Congressional staff. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
