TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 14:22:00 220702000969 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 500 block of North Capitol Street, NW, with no front tag, and a rear tag not displaying a year. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of E Street, NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid driver's permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 00:32:00 220702000965 ADDITIONAL CHARGE: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound at a low rate of speed in the 500 block of North Capitol Street, NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Capitol Street, NW. Upon approach, R/O observed smoke coming from the vehicle, and detected an odor consistent with cannabis. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid driver's license in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 12:20:00 220630000949 Multiple officers observed the Suspects sitting in a group chanting and disrupting normal vehicle traffic in the intersection of First Street and Constitution Avenue, NE. The Suspects were warned to cease and desist with their unlawful demonstration activities, but they failed to stop. One hundred eighty-one Suspects were placed under arrest and processed on scene. CSS responded and processed the scene.
BENCH WARRANT-FELONY 09:57:00 220630000947 R/O observed the Suspect smoking a hand-rolled joint while sitting on a wall in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. R/O conducted a stop in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an outstanding bench warrant for larceny issued by the D.C. Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01:55:00 220629000940 ADDTIONAL CHARGES: POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE R/O observed a vehicle stopped in the eastbound lane in the unit block of E Street, SE, sitting through several light cycles. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect slumped forward behind the wheel. After waking the Suspect, R/O instructed him to step out of the vehicle. R/O immediately detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the vehicle inventory, R/O observed a cup in the center console half-filled with what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage.
ADW - BLADED WEAPON 16:20:00 220628000938 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE R/O responded to the 600 block of First Street, NE, for a report of a man with a knife. The Complainant approached GPO Police Officers and stated the Suspect attempted to stab him and his family members. The Suspect was observed fleeing northbound into the 400 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW. The Suspect was detained in the same location. During a pat down, a folded knife was discovered in the Suspect's pocket. A show-up was conducted and yielded a positive identification. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect, which revealed an active warrant out of Prince George's County, Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
DISORDERLY - AFFRAY - MISD 13:35:00 220627000923 R/O witnessed two individuals arguing with each other in the unit block of First Street, NE. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspects spit on each other. Both Suspects admitted to their spitting. They were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 01:41:00 220627000921 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 500 block of North Capitol Street, NW, at a high rate of speed. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of Louisiana Avenue, NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tags belonged to another vehicle, and the Suspect's license was suspended through Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 03:32:00 220626000916 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID PERMIT; UCSA - POSSESSION (OTHER) R/O observed a vehicle in the intersection of North Capitol and E Streets, NW, turn without a turn signal. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the unit block of E Street, NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. While talking with the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. Search incident to arrest revealed a bag containing a powdery substance, which tested positive for Cocaine. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD 07:43:00 220625000908 R/O was standing in the 200 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW, when he heard a loud banging noise in the area of the Taft Memorial. Upon further investigation, R/O observed a male kicking the door located on the east side of the Taft Memorial. A subject stop was conducted in the same location. The grill of the door was bent inward, and pieces of the grill were located on the ground. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
