| UUV - FELONY | 18:43:00 | 220802001169 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UUV PASSENGER; CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE - FELONY; POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMO - MISD; RECKLESS DRIVING - MISD; RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SE, matching the description of a reported stolen vehicle from an LPR alert. R/O confirmed the vehicle's status through USCP Communications, and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, when the Suspects fled at a high rate of speed, heading eastbound in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. R/O observed the vehicle commit several traffic offenses while fleeing before proceeding through a stop sign at the intersection of Twelfth Street and Independence Avenue, SE, and colliding with another vehicle. While attempting to extract the two Suspects from the vehicle, R/O and the Assisting Officer observed a black pistol with an extended clip within reach of the driver's control. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the firearm was not registered in the District of Columbia. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene, and recovered a 9mm firearm and one large-capacity magazine containing eleven rounds of ammunition. | |
| FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE | 20:29:00 | 220801001168 | R/O responded to the report of a person, as being a missing person, walking on the highway from the I-395/South Capitol Street split. R/O observed an individual walking in the 300 block of Washington Avenue, SW, matching the broadcasted lookout. A stop was conducted in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SW, and a WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an outstanding extraditable warrant for Failure to Appear out of Baltimore County, Maryland. After confirmation, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 03:28:00 | 220731001161 | ADDITIONAL CHARGE: RECKLESS DRIVING - MISD R/O observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in the 400 block of South Capitol Street, with both tires shredded. R/O activated his emergency equipment and attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the same location. The Suspect failed to yield to R/O's emergency equipment and verbal commands over the loud speaker. The vehicle continued at a low rate of speed erratically shifting lanes. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of Washington Avenue, SW. The Suspect was asked if he consumed any alcohol or drugs to which he responded in the affirmative. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

| CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE - FELONY | 18:48:00 | 220730001160 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREG AMMO - MISD; PPW-B-MISD (POSESSION OF A PROHIBITED WEAPON-KNIFE) R/O observed an illegally parked vehicle on the Northwest Drive. The owner was located nearby and escorted back to the vehicle. The Suspect stated to the R/O that there was a firearm in the center console. A consented search of the vehicle revealed a loaded pistol, two additional eight-round magazines, multiple loose rounds of ammunition, and a knife. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of H Street, NE. Upon approach, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's vehicle, and the Suspect affirmed she had consumed alcohol. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, R/O attempted to place the Suspect under arrest, at which time she began to scream and walk away. Additional Officers responded, and the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| UNLAWFUL ENTRY - MISD | 13:52:00 | 220729001150 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON; AGGRESSIVE PANHANDLING; THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM R/O responded to the 300 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW, for a call of a disorderly male. Upon arrival, R/O was approached by multiple Complainants stating the Suspect was barred from the establishment and its grounds. The Suspect was asked to leave the grounds, at which time he threw a can at one of the Complainants and entered the establishment. Once inside, the Suspect became physically aggressive toward the patrons, demanded money, and threatened the Complainant when told to leave the premises. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of New Jersey Avenue, SE. The Suspect was ordered from the vehicle, detained in handcuffs, and a pat down was conducted. R/O discovered a 9mm bullet in the Suspect's front pocket. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search incident to arrest, a second 9mm bullet was recovered from the Suspect. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

R/O observed the vehicle traveling in the unit block of Independence Avenue, SE, and initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of Fourth Street, SE. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the vehicle was stolen, and the Suspect held no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland.
