TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 00:22:00 220905001347 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 400 block of South Capitol Street, SE, commit several traffic violations. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of Independence Avenue, SW. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 21:24:00 220904001345 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT OPERATING AFTER REVOCATION R/O observed a vehicle located in the 100 block of Constitution Avenue, NW, with the driver unconscious in the driver seat. Upon speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed the Suspect with bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. A WALES/NCIC check revealed a revoked permit status through the District of Columbia. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) 13:30:00 220904001342 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF AN UNREGISTERED FIREARM; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE R/O responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the intersection of First and Quander Streets, SE. A/O was already on scene assisting an individual on the ground in front of a vehicle. A/O attempted to move the individual's backpack when he was advised that there was a fully-loaded firearm inside. The A/O maintained control of the backpack and, after acquiring permission, R/O opened the backpack and observed a carrying case with a firearm logo on the top. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect did not possess a concealed carry permit out of the District of Columbia. CSS responded to the scene and took control of the backpack, which contained a firearm carrying case, a firearm, and two 10-round magazines with a total of 20 rounds of ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) 02:53:00 220903001337 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS; TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID; SPEEDING AND RECKLESS DRIVING; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTRIED FIREARM R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 500 block of South Capitol Street, SW. The driver continued through a red light at the intersection of Washington Avenue and D Street, SW, lost control of the vehicle, and crashed into the wall at the northbound Third Street Tunnel on-ramp. R/O approached the Suspect, and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. A WALES/NCIC check revealed a canceled Maryland driver's license with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. R/O conducted a search of the vehicle and located a firearm on the driver's seat. CSS responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 15:52:00 220902001333 R/O observed a vehicle displaying expired tags traveling southbound in the 500 block of North Capitol Street, NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the tags were expired, and the Suspect's license was suspended in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 20:49:00 220902001336 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS; TRAFFIC - PERMIT NO VALID; POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUSBTANCE; POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL R/O observed a vehicle traveling slowly in the 400 block of First Street, NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of Columbus Circle, NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag belonged to another vehicle and had expired. The Suspect had an expired District of Columbia driver's license with no status in Maryland or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting a search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a cigarette with green and beige substance consistent with PCP, and an open jug with an odor consistent with alcohol. CSS responded and processed the scene.
THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM-MISD 14:50:00 220902001334 R/O responded for a report of staff in distress in the Longworth House Office Building. The Complainant advised that the Suspect had called the office multiple times, indicated they were outside the building, and had threatened to inject the Complainant with a lethal substance. While the R/O was present, the Suspect called again and advised they were outside the New Jersey Avenue and C Street, SE, door of the Longworth House Office Building. The Assisting Officer (A/O) approached the Suspect at New Jersey Avenue and C Street, SE, where the Suspect confirmed they threatened the Complainant. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 00:03:00 2208281304 R/O observed the driver of a vehicle asleep behind the wheel in the 700 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect appeared to be confused and disoriented. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 23:01:00 220829001306 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID; TRAFFIC - PERMIT-FAIL TO EXHIBIT R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound toward the intersection of Second and D Streets, NW, failing to maintain a lane of travel, and committing multiple traffic violations. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Second Street, NW. The Suspect did not physically provide a valid driver's license. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid driver's license in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 05:28:00 220828001305 ADDITIONAL CHARGE: TRAFFIC - RECKLESS DRIVING R/O heard a loud sound resembling a vehicle crash. R/O located a rolled-over vehicle on Exit 6 from Interstate 395 Northbound to C Street, SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's license revealed negative results. R/O observed the Suspect's speech to be slurred and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. Upon further investigation, speed and failure to maintain lane control were the determining factors for the vehicle roll over.
