A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was suspended in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| ADW - BLADED WEAPON + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE | 02:18:00 | 230908002066 | R/O responded to the 100 Block of C Street NE for the report for an assault. The Victim reported to A/O the individual that assaulted him was located on a bench in the same Block. R/O responded to the Suspect's location and witnessed the Suspect toss a black folding knife to the ground. A/O-2 and A/O-3 responded to the scene and during further investigation they noticed two lacerations under the Victim's right jawline and abrasions on the back of the head. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an extraditable warrant from the U.S. Marshals Service, which was confirmed through USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

The Complainant left the scene prior to R/O arriving and conducting a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect with negative results. Two Witnesses remained on scene and written statements were taken. A traffic stop was conducted and a WALES/NCIC check revealed that the Suspect had no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O located the Suspect in the unit block of E Street NW near the vehicle and in possession of a clear bag with items from that vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed an extraditable warrant out of Montgomery County, MD, for Failure to Appear for an Assault. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. CSS was notified, processed the scene, and recovered the items. |
