DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD 18:19:00 230710001608 R/O responded to the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW for a destruction of property report. Upon arrival, the Complainant stated they parked their vehicle on June 27, 2023. Complainant stated they returned to their vehicle on July 10, 2023, and noticed two tires appeared to have been intentionally punctured. CSS responded and processed the scene.
BENCH WARRANT-MISDEMEANOR 09:10:00 230710001601 R/O conducted a stop of an individual matching the lookout of a BOLO at the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and C Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active warrant through the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to MPD's First District for processing.
CDW - BLADED WEAPON + ADDITONAL CHARGES: UUV - FELONY 22:38:00 230710001609 While on patrol R/O and A/O observed an individual with a knife in the Unit Block of K Street SE. R/O and A/O attempted to stop the Suspect who jumped into a vehicle in the intersection of K and Half Streets SE. A/O obtained the vehicle's license plate from which a WALES/NCIC check confirmed the vehicle was stolen. A canvass of the area was conducted with negative results.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 12:56:00 230710001605 R/O was conducting a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW, when an individual drove up to assist the driver of the traffic stop. R/O made contact and conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the individual's license. The inquiry revealed a suspended license through Maryland, with no valid status through the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to MPD's First District for processing.
SIMPLE ASSAULT DC CODE 22-404 13:17:00 230709001600 R/O was flagged down in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE where the Complainant stated that an individual attempted to push, tackle, and corner him in an intimidating fashion. The Suspect was located at the intersection of First Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE, and was positively identified by the Complainant. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to MPD Central Cell Block for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 00:22:00 230709001597 R/O observed a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road in the 700 Block of South Capitol Street. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 800 Block of South Capitol Street. Upon approach, the Suspect was unable to provide R/O with a physical driver's license. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ADW - OTHER WEAPON + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: ASSSAULT ON A POLICE/FIRE - FELONY DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD 02:00:00 230709001598 R/O responded to the Unit Block of F Street NW for the report of a burglary. MPD broadcast a lookout for an individual damaging the front door of a business. A/O-1 observed an individual matching the lookout in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A stop was conducted in the same location. During the stop, A/O-1 observed the Suspect pick up a large rock and motion to throw it at him before dropping it. A show up was conducted and the Complainant positively identified the Suspect. During the arrest investigation, the Suspect kicked both legs of A/O-2. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 21:04:00 230708001596 R/O observed a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road in the 200 Block of E Street NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 500 Block of Third Street NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor alcoholic beverage and a moderate odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect had slurred speech and watery/glassy eyes. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT I 11:46:00 230707001586 R/O responded to a report of a theft that occurred at a House Office Building construction site. The Complainant stated that approximately 300 pounds of copper wire worth $1,400 was found missing. All attempts to locate the property met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
WARRANT-OUTSIDE AGENCY + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UCSA - POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHENALIA - MISD 20:41:00 230707001590 R/O observed an individual known to have an outstanding warrant sitting on a wall in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the Suspect had an active bench warrant through the D.C. Superior Court Criminal Division. During the search incident to arrest, R/O located a container with a brown blunt cigarette inside. CSS responded and processed the scene. The brown blunt cigarette tested positive for Synthetic Cannabinoids. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
