TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 22:50:00 230923002212 R/O observed a vehicle traveling at a moderately high rate of speed in the area of North Capitol Street and Louisiana Avenue NW. R/O observed a possible dispute between the occupants of the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of First Street NW. While speaking to the driver, R/O observed the driver's eyes were glassy and watery, and detected a moderately strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from inside the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT II-FROM OFFICE 10:00:00 230922002201 R/O responded to the Detail Office of the U.S. Capitol Building for a report of a theft. The Complainant stated to R/O, an unknown Suspect stole their work phone, iPhone, and charger from their desk. The Complainant last saw the items three months ago before leaving work. When the Complainant returned to work on September 18, 2023, they realized the items were missing. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 11:48:00 230921002186 R/O responded to the Rayburn House Office Building for a call of an unwanted guest. R/O located the Suspect outside of the Rayburn House Office Building. A WALES/NCIC check revealed a confirmed warrant out of Fairfax County, VA. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 23:59:00 230922002198 R/O observed a vehicle rapidly accelerating through the intersection of Second and D Streets NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of D Street NE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed signs of impairment and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. SFST's were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS. 15:02:00 230921002193 R/O observed the Suspect operating a vehicle in the 200 Block of E Street NW. R/O had prior knowledge the Suspect did not possess a valid operator's permit. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of E Street NW. A WALES/ NCIC check confirmed the Suspect did not have no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia and the tag belonged to another vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
RESISTING ARREST. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID. 17:14:00 230920002179 R/O responded to the intersection of Second and C Streets SW for the report of a traffic accident. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a suspended operators permit in Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. While being placed under arrest, the Suspect clenched his fist and straightened his arms. R/O attempted to twist the Suspect's arm behind his back, however, he pulled both hands into his chest area while yelling. Once calm, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 14:34:00 230920002173 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE with no front tag and no expiration sticker affixed to the rear tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed the Suspect had a suspended Pennsylvania operator's permit with no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT - MISD DC CODE 22-1321. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNLAWFUL CONDUCT CAPITOL GROUNDS. 15:32:00 230920002176 R/O while on patrol observed A/O instruct an individual to stop interrupting a Congressional Press Conference on the Senate Plaza of the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspect was given multiple warnings to cease and desist with their unlawful activities, but refused to do so. While being escorted off of the Plaza, the Suspect laid down in the roadway blocking vehicular access to vehicles exiting the Senate Plaza. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 06:53:00 230920002168 R/O observed an individual parked in a handicap space with no handicap placard and expired tags in the 300 Block of First Street NE. A WALES/NCIC confirmed the vehicle tags were expired and the Suspect's license was suspended in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia and Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to USCP Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 16:12:00 230920002178 R/O and A/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE with temporary tags. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications revealed the vehicle's tags were not on file. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's Maryland permit was suspended with no valid status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
