A/O-1 located the vehicle in the Unit Block of I Street SW and the Suspect standing nearby. The Suspect admitted driving the vehicle, and claimed ownership to the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle was stolen out of Alexandria, VA. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-3 and A/O-4 responded, and processed the scene. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 Block of Maine Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed an extraditable felony warrant issued through the Alexandria Police Department, and confirmed the vehicle as stolen. The Suspect also had a suspended license out of Virginia with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Upon arrival, R/O observed a light post and other items in the surrounding area with what appeared to be graffiti on them. A search of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of E Street SE. A VIN check revealed an inactive Massachusetts registration. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Upon arrival, the Complainant stated that they left their electric scooter attached to a bike rack at approximately 0540 hours on October 30, 2023. When they returned at approximately 1425 hours on the same date, the scooter was missing. Criminal Investigations Section (CIS) was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 23:29:00 | 231030002520 | R/O observed a vehicle nearly strike their police cruiser in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. While speaking with the driver, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, R/O located an open container of liquid consistent with alcohol on the back passenger floorboard. |
