A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: CARARYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) UNREG FIREARM - MISD UNREG AMMO - MISD. | 01:09:00 | 2307240001731 | R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid red traffic light at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Louisiana Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a moderate odor of alcohol emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O-1 located a firearm within a bag placed on the passenger seat. A/O-2 responded to process the scene. Further examination revealed the firearm had ammunition loaded into its magazine. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the firearm was not registered in the District of Columbia. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

The Complainant stated they parked at that location on Friday, July 21, 2023, and returned on Sunday, July 23, 2023, to discover the vehicle was no longer there. A canvass of the area yielded negative results. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's permit revealed a suspended status through Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed, the Suspect had an active warrant issued through Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which was confirmed through USCP Communications. The WALES/NCIC inquiry also revealed, the Suspect had a suspended license through Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Complainant advised R/O, while at the intersection of Third and C Streets, SE., the Suspect approached them, displayed a handgun and demanded their phone. The Suspect fled the area and did not obtain possession of the phone. A search of the area was met with negative results. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

The Complainants advised R/O that the Suspects approached them and demanded their scooter. When the Complainants refused to give up their scooter, the Suspects displayed a handgun and then physically assaulted them. The Suspects fled the area and did not obtain possession of the scooter. A search of the area was met with negative results. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

The Complainant stated he locked his bicycle to the bike rack on the corner of Delaware Avenue and C Street NE around 0810 hours. When the Complainant returned, the bicycle was missing. A search of the area was met with negative results. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
| PPW-B - MISD. ADDITIONAL CHARGE: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE. | 01:10:00 | 230720001693 | R/O responded to a priority call for a welfare check at First Street and Maryland Avenue NE. Upon arrival, R/O observed an individual laying on the sidewalk. After several attempts of trying to sit and stand the Suspect upright, the Suspect attempted to run. A/O-1 tackled the Suspect and R/O felt something hard in the Suspect's bag, which was later identified as a Glock-19 BB gun. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active warrant out of the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-2 responded and recovered the weapon. | |

R/O confirmed the item to be a switchblade during a physical check of the bag. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded and processed the scene. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. |
