FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 21:53:00 230820001937 R/O responded to South Capitol and D Streets SE to assist with a traffic stop. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active, extraditable warrant out of Virginia. USCP Communications confirmed the warrant. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 02:23:00 230820001934 R/O responded to a possible vehicle crash in the southbound lane of I-395 just outside the Third Street Tunnel. Upon approach, R/O could detect a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA 22:36:00 230820001938 R/O responded to the intersection of Third and D Streets SW for a traffic accident. A/O responded to assist with the investigation. While speaking with the Suspect, A/O observed that the individual had slurred speech, glassy eyes, and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Additionally, A/O observed the Suspect make a throwing motion into a bush, and later recovered a bottle less than half full of liquid consistent with that of alcohol in the same location. CSS responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID 23:45:00 230821001939 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a red signal at the intersection of Third and D Streets NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Third Street NE. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect was in an manic state, and had bloodshot eyes. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect's permit revealed a suspended status in Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, R/O observed a syringe containing a clear liquid located between the driver seat and the center console. CSS responded and processed the scene.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 10:30:00 230820001935 R/O responded to the steps of the U.S. Capitol Building for an individual demonstrating in a prohibited area. R/O observed the Suspect holding a cardboard sign. The Suspect was given three warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity, but refused to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID + TRAFFIC -PERMIT - FAIL TO EXHIBIT TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS 19:25:00 230819001932 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW with no rear tag displayed. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. Upon approach, R/O observed a temporary tag on the interior of the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag revealed no return on file. The Suspect was unable to provide a physical driver's license but claimed to have one. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 11:01:00 230818001921 R/O responded to the steps of the U.S. Capitol Building for an individual demonstrating in a prohibited area. R/O and A/O observed the Suspect holding a cardboard sign. The Suspect was given three warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity, but refused to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - $1000+ - FELONY + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: THEFT FROM AUTO 07:14:00 2.30817E+11 S/A observed a department vehicle with a broken window parked in the 400 Block of Third Street SW. Upon further investigation, R/O discovered that an unknown Suspect destroyed the steering column and scattered items throughout the vehicle which had been parked for several days. A/O reviewed security footage in effort to identify the Suspect with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
UUV - FELONY + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR (x2) RECIEVING STOLEN PROPERTY - $1000 & OVER - FELONY POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA FLEEING FROM POLICE OFF - MISD RESI 19:06:00 230817001916 R/O was alerted to a stolen vehicle via a License Plate Reader hit in the area of Third Street and Independence Avenue SE. R/O observed the vehicle traveling eastbound in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SE. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the tag, which confirmed the vehicle was stolen out Prince George's County, Maryland. R/O attempted a traffic stop in the 1300 Block of Independence Avenue SE. The Suspect fled but stopped shortly due to heavy traffic congestion in the same block. R/O and A/O-1 and A/O-2 approached the vehicle and attempted to detain the Suspect. The Suspect physically resisted and punched the A/O's multiple times. The Suspect was eventually placed under arrest. An open container of an alcoholic beverage was observed in the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's license revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 05:45:00 230816001905 R/O conducted a subject stop in the area of First and East Capitol Streets SE for an individual matching a lookout. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspects name revealed two active extraditable warrants out of Kentucky. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
