POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL-VEHICLE. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 23:29:00 231030002520 R/O observed a vehicle nearly strike their police cruiser in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NW. While speaking with the driver, R/O detected a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, R/O located an open container of liquid consistent with alcohol on the back passenger floorboard.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD 04:26:00 231029002517 R/O observed a vehicle make multiple traffic infractions at the intersection of Second Street and Constitution Avenue NE before the vehicle drove onto the sidewalk on Second Street NE, struck a tree, and the stone wall . R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Second Street NE. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect's speech was slurred, eyes glassy, and a smell of an alcoholic beverage emanated from the Suspect's breathe. A/O-1 conducted SFSTs; due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest, and was transported to Headquarters to be processed. A/O-2 responded and processed the scene. During an administrative search of the Suspect's vehicle, a bottle containing liquid with a smell consistent with alcohol was discovered on the front passenger floor board.
FLEEING FROM A POLICE OFF-FELONY DC50-2201.05b(b)2. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECKLESS DRIVING LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PERSONAL INJURY RESISTING ARREST 15:55:00 231028002516 R/O observed a vehicle that matched the description of a License Plate Reader hit wanted in connection to an armed carjacking in PG County, Maryland, travelling westbound in the 600 Block of H Street, NE. A WALES/NCIC check by USCP Communication confirmed that the vehicle was wanted. A traffic stop was attempted in the 700 Block of 7th street, NE but the Suspect fled, driving erratically, hitting multiple vehicles at the intersection of 8th and F Streets, NE, causing property damage and injuries. The Suspect's vehicle came to a stop; the Suspect refused to follow commands, exited the vehicle, and fled on foot. The Suspect continued to run, but was apprehended by R/O and A/O in the 800 Block of F Street, NE. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A was notified.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 11:21:00 221029002518 R/O observed an individual demonstrating, obstructing an ongoing event, in the middle of the street in the 200 Block of Maryland Avenue SW. The Suspect was warned to cease and desist the demonstration activity but refused to comply. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - RECKLESS DRIVING POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA 00:48:00 231028002512 R/O responded to the area of Washington Avenue and South Capitol Street SW for the report of a single car crash. Upon investigation, R/O was able to confirm that the Suspect lost control of the car while making a left turn, which led to the vehicle colliding with a curb. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O noticed slurred speech and the scent of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting a search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a partially empty bottle of an alcoholic beverage. A/O was notified, responded, and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA USCA - POSSESSION (OTHER) 00:18:00 231028002511 While on patrol in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW, R/O observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. Upon approaching the vehicle, A/O observed multiple open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a search of the vehicle, R/O discovered what appeared to be a controlled substance. R/O was notified, responded, and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS 15:45:00 231027002507 R/O observed a vehicle without expiration stickers affixed to the tag traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of E Street NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, and the vehicle's tag belonged to a different vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 20:45:00 231027002510 R/O responded to the intersection of Third Street and Maryland Avenue SW for the report of a traffic accident with injuries. A WALES/NCIC check revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded and processed the scene.
ASSAULT-SIMPLE - MISD DC CODE 22-404 08:34:00 231027002502 R/O was flagged down in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. The Complainant stated that an individual kicked him then left the scene. A canvass of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS 02:09:00 231027002501 R/O observed a vehicle drive through a solid red traffic signal in the 200 Block of H Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of H Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect did not have a valid operator's permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's tag revealed it belonged to a different vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
