THEFT II 14:07:00 231024002474 R/O was flagged down in the 700 Block of First Street SE for a report of a theft. The Complainant advised R/O she allowed the Suspect to borrow her phone at which time the Suspect fled with the phone. A canvass of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
THEFT I-FROM AUTO + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD 23:36:00 231023002460 R/O was patrolling the Unit Block of I Street SE, when he observed an individual looking into the window of a parked car with a flashlight. The Suspect got into a vehicle and fled the scene. R/O canvassed the area and located a vehicle that had the driver's side window broken out and its contents thrown all over the interior in the same location. The Complainant arrived on scene and confirmed ownership of the vehicle. They reported a missing backpack which contained a laptop and several articles of clothing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CID was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 12:39:00 231022002459 R/O responded to the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NW for the report of a traffic accident. Upon arrival, R/O observed two vehicles involved in the accident. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check on the individual who was driving the striking vehicle, which revealed a no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT -NO VALID 22:03:00 231021002458 R/O responded to the intersection of Second Street and Independence Avenue SE for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Upon arrival, R/O observed a vehicle with front end damage and a scooter displaying no tags with rear end damage. When speaking with Suspect-1 (S1), R/O noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from S1s breath. SFSTs were conducted by A/O. Due to numerous signs of impairment, S1 was placed under arrest. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check via USCP Communications of Suspect- 2 (S2) which revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. S2 was placed under arrest. Both Suspects were transported for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 08:54:00 231020002440 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration tag traveling southbound in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC revealed the Suspect was suspended out of Maryland, with no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. Additionally, the Suspect had an active, extraditable warrant out of Memphis, Tennessee. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ASSAULT-SIMPLE - MISD + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: ROBBERY-FORCE & VIOLENCE - FELONY DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD 11:04:00 231019002427 R/O responded to the 200 Block of C Street NE for the report of a domestic assault. The Complainant stated that the Suspect grabbed the purse and snatched it, tearing the strap. The Suspect then took the Complainants phone from the purse and proceeded to leave the premises. A subject stop was attempted in the 300 Block of Third Street NE, where the Suspect refused to stop and comply. CIS responded to the scene and will continue to investigate.
DEFACING PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY - MISD 07:50:00 231019002423 R/O responded to a walkway outside of the U.S. Capitol Building for a report of defacing of government property. Upon arrival, R/O observed a sign located on the walkway, vandalized by what appeared to be a marker. A search of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: CROWING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 16:17:00 231018002420 R/O responded to a House Office Building Rotunda for a demonstration. R/O ordered the Suspect to take down an unauthorized banner hanging in the area. After several warnings, while the Suspect was being placed in handcuffs, the suspect resisted arrest and was trying to pull away multiple times. The suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 15:00:00 231018002419 Multiple R/O responded to the Rotunda of a House Office Building for a demonstration. The Suspects were observed chanting, singing and disrupting the peace. The Suspects were given warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity but failed to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to 67 K NW for processing.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 10:38:00 231018002414 R/O observed an individual yelling loudly and walking up to the chairman inside a committee hearing in a Senate Office Building. The Suspect was warned to cease the demonstration activity but refused to comply. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to 67 K Street for processing.
