| UUV - FELONY + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR (x2) RECIEVING STOLEN PROPERTY - $1000 & OVER - FELONY POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA FLEEING FROM POLICE OFF - MISD RESI | 19:06:00 | 230817001916 | R/O was alerted to a stolen vehicle via a License Plate Reader hit in the area of Third Street and Independence Avenue SE. R/O observed the vehicle traveling eastbound in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SE. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the tag, which confirmed the vehicle was stolen out Prince George's County, Maryland. R/O attempted a traffic stop in the 1300 Block of Independence Avenue SE. The Suspect fled but stopped shortly due to heavy traffic congestion in the same block. R/O and A/O-1 and A/O-2 approached the vehicle and attempted to detain the Suspect. The Suspect physically resisted and punched the A/O's multiple times. The Suspect was eventually placed under arrest. An open container of an alcoholic beverage was observed in the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's license revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspects name revealed two active extraditable warrants out of Kentucky. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| FLEEING FROM A POLICE OFF-FELONY DC50-2201.05b(b)2 | 16:53:00 | 230816001909 | R/O observed a vehicle matching a lookout for a stolen vehicle in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications confirmed the vehicle as stolen. R/O attempted a traffic stop at the intersection of Third Street and Independence Avenue SW. The vehicle fled eastbound in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW at a high rate of speed, disregarding all traffic signals and lane markings. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

The Complainant advised their electrical multi-meter went missing from a toolbox sometime on August 15, 2023. The USCP Command Center reviewed footage which revealed that the electrical multi-meter was stolen by an unknown subject on August 15, 2023 at approximately 0953 hours. A canvas of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

The Complainant stated unknown Suspects attempted to cut the lock and steal his scooter while it was secured to a fence at that same location. CSS responded and processed the scene. Upon arrival, R/O made contact with the Complainant who stated he parked the vehicle on the west curb of the 300 Block of New Jersey NW at 0910 hours. When the Complainant returned at 1110 hours, there was large scratches on the drivers side, passengers side, and rear end of the vehicle. CSS responded and processed the scene. CID was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

When R/O arrived on scene, the Complainant stated that he parked his car in a parking spot, and upon return, discovered damage to the vehicle. CSS responded, and processed the scene.
