TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 00:15:00 230717001658 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound, at a high rate of speed, in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of First and F Streets NW. Upon approach, the Suspect admitted to the R/O to having consumed a few alcoholic beverages. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 20:03:00 230717001671 R/O observed a vehicle with an obstructed rear tag in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's license revealed it was suspended through New York, with no valid status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: ASSAULT ON A POLICE/FIRE - FELONY X 3 POSS OPEN CONTAINER ALCOHOL - POCA TRAFFIC - RECKLESS DRIVING 00:47:00 230716001655 R/O observed a vehicle, matching an MPD broadcast for an impaired driver, drive through a red traffic signal at the intersection of First and E Streets SE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of E Street SE. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, R/O located an open container of liquid consistent with alcohol. Further investigation revealed the Suspect had crashed into a fence at a construction site in the 1200 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. During arrest processing, the Suspect struck an assisting officer, and then bit and punctured skin on the forearms of both R/O and A/O. CSS responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) UNREG AMMO - MISD POSS OF LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE UCSA - PWID MARIJUANA - FELONY 03:01:00 230716001656 R/O responded to the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW for the report of a man shot in their vehicle. R/O located a vehicle with the driver asleep at the wheel on the D Street exit ramp from I-395; a traffic stop was conducted in the same location. While speaking with the driver, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's vehicle. A/O conducted SFSTs, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, CSS recovered a loaded firearm containing a 30 round extended magazine, 49 rounds of loose ammunition, an open container of liquid consistent with alcohol, 12 containers and 2 plastic bags containing green leafy substances, and a scale. CIS responded and conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect, which revealed the firearm was unregistered and the Suspect did not possess a license to carry firearms in the District of Columbia.
LEWD, INDECENT OR OBSCENE ACTS + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 14:57:00 230715001654 R/O was standing post at the Memorial Door of the United States Capitol Building when the Complainant approached and advised of an individual committing a lewd act while watching them. The Complainant positively identified the Suspect who was sitting on the steps of the United States Capitol Building. R/O attempted to stop the Suspect, who briefly fled the scene before being apprehended. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active, extraditable warrant out of Alexandria, Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01:33:00 230715001647 R/O observed an individual asleep behind the wheel of their vehicle in the Unit Block of D Street NW. R/O conducted a welfare check at the same location. Upon approach, R/O observed two open bottles of beer located in the center cup holder. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT I-FROM AUTO 16:34:00 230714001646 R/O responded to the intersection of First and East Capitol Streets for the report of a theft from auto. Upon arrival, the Complaint advised that they parked their vehicle at 0900 hours and when they returned at 1600 hours their luggage had been taken from their vehicle. A search of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
UUV - FELONY + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY - $1000 & OVER - FELONY 11:02:00 230714001642 R/O observed a vehicle matching a lookout for a stolen vehicle in the 700 Block of H Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle confirmed it to be stolen. R/O attempted to stop the vehicle in the 900 Block of 10th Street NE. The vehicle fled and came to a stop in the 800 Block of 19th Street NE where the Suspects fled on foot. The Suspects were apprehended in the 900 Block of 19th Street NE, the 700 Block of 11th Street NE, and the 800 Block of 11th Street NE. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
UNREG FIREARM - MISD + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREGISTERED AMMO - MISD UNLAWFUL ACTIVIES 16:34:00 230714001644 R/O responded to the intersection of First and East Capitol Streets for the report of a theft from auto. The initial interview with the Complainant revealed the Complainant confessed to being in possession of a firearm inside of the vehicle. A/O confirmed there was a firearm in the glove box along with a South Carolina permit. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. An inquiry from the MPD Gun Registration Unit revealed the weapon was not registered in the District of Columbia. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed one round in the chamber, five rounds in the seven capacity magazine and an additional box containing twelve rounds of ammunition located in the center console. CIS responded to Headquarters to continue the investigation.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 11:19:00 230713001633 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE displaying a temporary tag not listed on file. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the same location. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the passenger revealing an active outstanding warrant out of Prince George's County, MD. USCP Communications confirmed the warrant and the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
