R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 800 Block of South Capitol Street. Upon approach, the Suspect was unable to provide R/O with a physical driver's license. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
ADW - OTHER WEAPON + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: ASSSAULT ON A POLICE/FIRE - FELONY DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD | 02:00:00 | 230709001598 | R/O responded to the Unit Block of F Street NW for the report of a burglary. MPD broadcast a lookout for an individual damaging the front door of a business. A/O-1 observed an individual matching the lookout in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A stop was conducted in the same location. During the stop, A/O-1 observed the Suspect pick up a large rock and motion to throw it at him before dropping it. A show up was conducted and the Complainant positively identified the Suspect. During the arrest investigation, the Suspect kicked both legs of A/O-2. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 21:04:00 | 230708001596 | R/O observed a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road in the 200 Block of E Street NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 500 Block of Third Street NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor alcoholic beverage and a moderate odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect had slurred speech and watery/glassy eyes. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
WARRANT-OUTSIDE AGENCY + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UCSA - POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHENALIA - MISD | 20:41:00 | 230707001590 | R/O observed an individual known to have an outstanding warrant sitting on a wall in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the Suspect had an active bench warrant through the D.C. Superior Court Criminal Division. During the search incident to arrest, R/O located a container with a brown blunt cigarette inside. CSS responded and processed the scene. The brown blunt cigarette tested positive for Synthetic Cannabinoids. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Complainant stated that approximately 300 pounds of copper wire worth $1,400 was found missing. All attempts to locate the property met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD | 06:20:00 | 230706001574 | CIS met with the Complainant in reference to a destruction of property report. The Complainant state they parked their vehicle in the 200 Block of D Street SE on 06/22/23 at 1800 hours. When the Complainant returned to their vehicle on 06/23/23 at 1100 hours, both rear tires were punctured and flattened. Camera footage showed a Suspect intentionally flattening the tires and leaving the scene in a vehicle with an unknown registration. CIS will continue to investigate. | |
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - POCA | 18:46:00 | 230706001584 | R/O responded to First Street and Constitution Avenue NE for a report of an intoxicated driver. A/O responded to the scene to assist R/O. While speaking with the Suspect, A/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. A/O also observed an open can of beer on the rear floorboard of the vehicle. SFST's were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's permit was expired out of Pennsylvania, revoked in Virginia, and no valid status through the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed that the individual had slurred speech, watery/glassy eyes and a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
