Once on the scene, R/O spoke with the Complainant who stated an unknown Suspect cut off branches to two trees in the outer garden. A search for the Suspect was met with negative results. DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD | 20:25:00 | 230615001408 | R/O responded to the 600 Block of South Capitol Street for the report of a vehicle with two broken windows. Upon arrival, the Complainant stated they parked on the lot earlier in the day, with no damage to their vehicle. When the Complainant returned to their vehicle, the two passenger side windows were shattered. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

R/O had prior knowledge that the Suspect had an outstanding arrest warrant. A WALES/NCIC inquiry confirmed the Suspect has an extraditable arrest warrant out of Prince Georges County, Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE | 15:24:00 | 230614001382 | R/O responded to the 200 Block of East Capitol Street for the report of a wanted person. Per MPD, the Suspect's phone was pinging at that location. A/O-1 and A/O-2 made contact with an individual who matched the description of the Suspect at the corner of Third and A Streets NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed multiple active warrants out of Prince William County, Virginia. USCP Communications confirmed the warrants were extraditable. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREG FIREARM - MISD UNREG AMMO - MISD UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE | 13:03:00 | 230614001377 | R/O while on assignment observed what appeared to be a firearm inside of a bag on the x-ray screen at an Office building. R/O opened the bag and confirmed a firearm with an ammunition feeding device containing 11 rounds. While speaking with the Suspect, the Suspect was unable to provide R/O with a valid District of Columbia license to carry the firearm. S/A conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the firearm, which revealed it was not registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREGISTERED AMMO MISD POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE | 10:30:00 | 230613001365 | R/O-1 and R/O-2 observed a vehicle with no tags displayed, and travelled northbound in the 400 Block of Second Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. R/O-1 and R/O-2 conducted an inventory search of the vehicle, and in the glove box, discovered a high capacity ammunition feeding device loaded with live rounds of ammunition. CSS responded, and processed the scene. S/A was notified, and will continue to investigate. | |
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: CIVIL PROTECTION ORDER VIOLATION TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 22:48:00 | 230612001361 | R/O observed and heard a vehicle squealing tires in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the registered owner was Armed and Dangerous with an active warrant out of Prince Georges County, Maryland. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of D Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect confirmed the active warrant held by the Prince Georges County Sheriffs Office. Upon further investigation, the Suspect was on his way to pick up his wife, in violation of an active protection order. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed an open container of alcohol in the center console. The Suspect failed to provide a valid driver's license for the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID CRUELTY TO CHILDREN - MISD CRUELTY TO CHILDREN - MISD POSS OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - POCA POSS OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - POCA | 01:04:00 | 230611001348 | R/O responded to the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NE for a report of a vehicle with both the driver and the passenger unresponsive. Upon arrival, R/O observed a small child in the backseat of the vehicle along with both Suspects seated in the front of the vehicle. While speaking with R/O, the driver, who will be referred to as Suspect 1, was slow to respond and admitted to drinking alcohol prior to the stop. SFSTs were conducted, on Suspect 1, which resulted in multiple signs of impairment. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that Suspect 1 had no valid permit through the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. A/O-1 observed Suspect 2 in the front passenger seat incoherent, with slurred speech and bloodshot red eyes. A/O-2 detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from Suspect 2 breath. Both Suspects were found to be engaging in conduct that caused grave risk to the child in the vehicle. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed two cups of alcoholic beverage inside the front cupholders of the vehicle. CIS was notified for further investigation. |
