A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag returned to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of First Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The check also revealed the Suspect had an active warrant through the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Complainant stated as they were leaving work, they noticed that the driver's side door was opened. A/O was called to the scene and confirmed R/O's information. The Complainant advised A/O that there was no property damage and nothing in the vehicle was misplaced or missing. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID BENCH WARRANT-MISD | 10:31:00 | 230329000621 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 1000 Block of South Capitol Street SE with a temporary registration covered by a tinted tag cover. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check which revealed the tag belonged to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of I Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the VIN determined the vehicle was stolen. Additionally, the check revealed the Suspect's permit was suspended in Maryland with no valid status in the District of Columbia or Virginia and the Suspect has an active Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear issued by the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O-1 and A/O-2 responded to process the scene. | |

A traffic stop was initiated in the Unit Block of E Street SW. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from inside the vehicle. Upon arriving, R/O observed a vehicle on the exit ramp from I-395 North partially up on the curb with disabling damage that included the deployment of multiple airbags. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were administered. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. A/O responded and processed the scene. | |

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO-VALID FAILURE TO EXHIBIT. | 01:43:00 | 230326000585 | R/O observed a vehicle operating without illuminated headlights while traveling southbound in the Unit Block of Third Street NW. R/O initiated a traffic stop at Third Street and Constitution Avenue NW. During the stop, the Suspect provided R/O with a Maryland Identification Card. A WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed the Suspect did not have a valid operator's permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O smelled an odor consistent with marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle and observed signs of impairment. SFSTs were administered. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a subsequent inventory search of the vehicle, an opened bottle of alcohol was found in the vehicle's console. | |

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO-VALID TRAFFIC - RECKLESS DRIVING FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; RECKLESS DRIVING RECKLESSLY ENDANGERING A CHILD'S PHYSICAL, MENTAL OR EMOTIONAL HEALTH. | 00:20:00 | 230326000584 | R/O observed a vehicle proceed through several solid red lights at a high rate of speed while traveling southbound on Third Street between Pennsylvania Avenue NW and Independence Avenue SW. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Third Street SW. During the stop, the Suspect provided R/O with a Maryland Identification Card. While conversing with the Suspect, R/O noticed the Suspect had difficulty following directions, slurred their speech, and appeared incoherent several times. R/O also noticed a young child in the vehicle but could not confirm they were secured in a child seat. With suspicion the Suspect was under the influence of alcohol or drugs and fearing for the safety of the child, R/O asked the Suspect to step out of the vehicle. The Suspect then fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound in the 200 Block of C Street SW. Using the Suspect's Maryland Identification Card, a WALES/NCIC check was conducted, which revealed the Suspect did not have a valid operator's permit in the Distict of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. S/A-1 and S/A-2 were notified and will continue to investigate. |
