TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - HIT & RUN 00:53:00 231015002389 R/O was flagged down in the Unit Block of E Street NW for a report of a hit and run. The Complainant stated while travelling eastbound through a green traffic light, in the 100 Block of E Street NW they were struck on the passenger side by the Suspect's vehicle. A second Complainant reported to R/O that the Suspect's vehicle struck them twice and fled. The Suspect's vehicle was last seen fleeing northbound on New Jersey Avenue NW. A search of the area was met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene.
CRUELTY TO CHILDREN - MISD +ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID 20:54:00 231015002393 R/O observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed through a solid red traffic signal in the intersection of South Capitol Street and Virginia Avenue SW. A traffic stop was initiated in the 700 Block of South Capitol Street SW. Upon approach, R/O noticed an unrestrained child in the backseat. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes, and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from inside the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FLEEING FROM A POLICE OFF-FELONY DC50-2201.05b(b)2 15:58:00 231015002391 R/O observed a vehicle in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE matching a lookout for a stolen vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications confirmed the vehicle was stolen. R/O and A/O attempted a traffic stop at the intersection of New Jersey and Massachusetts Avenues NW. The vehicle fled westbound on Massachusetts Avenue NW at a high rate of speed, disregarding traffic laws. R/O and A/O pursued the vehicle until pursuit was terminated in the 1500 Block of Ninth Street NW.
THEFT I -STOLEN AUTO 18:00:00 231014002385 TAS responded to the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE for the report of a stolen congressional fleet vehicle. The Complainant stated that a fleet vehicle was taken without permission on three separate occasions on September 26, 27, and 28, 2023. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM-MISD 01:44:00 231014002381 R/O while on patrol responded to an MPD dispatch for the report of an individual being followed and threatened. R/O was flagged down at the intersection of Fourth and D Streets NW by an individual who appeared to be fearful and in distress. The Complainant stated that they were being followed and threatened by the Suspect. R/O conducted a canvass of the area and the Suspect was found in the 400 Block of 5th Street NW. A show-up was conducted with the Complainant, who positively identified the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
SIMPLE ASSAULT DC CODE 22-404 16:23:00 231013002375 R/O observed the Suspect outside of room 1100 of the Longworth House Office Building make physical contact with the Complainant, and then leave the area. A lookout was given, and the Suspect was located. A show-up was conducted with the Complainant, who positively identified the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
THEFT I 18:25:00 231013002379 R/O was approached by the Complainant who stated that their electric scooter was missing. The Complainant stated that they parked their scooter outside of a House Office Building at approximately 0730 hours on October 13, 2023. When the Complainant returned at approximately 1730 hours on the same date, they discovered that the scooter was missing. A canvass of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
THEFT I-FROM OFFICE 10:13:00 231012002364 R/O responded to a room in a House Office Building for the report of a stolen flag. The Complainant stated that the flag was hung outside of the office on October 11, 2023 and recognized the flag missing on October 12, 2023. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID + ADDITIONAL CHARGE: TRAFFIC - ALTERED TAGS 11:38:00 231012002366 R/O observed a vehicle in the 200 Block of Washington Avenue SW with an inoperable brake light. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect did not have a valid license in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The WALES/NCIC check also revealed the displayed tag did not correspond with the vehicle driven by the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT II 17:10:00 231011002358 R/O was approached by the Complainant who stated that their electric scooter was missing. The Complainant stated that they parked their scooter at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and C Street NE at approximately 1230 hours on October 11, 2023. When the Complainant returned at approximately 1705 hours on the same date they discovered the scooter was missing. A canvass of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
