Uttering 15:00:00 230515001082 R/O responded to the Library of Congress James Madison Building for the report of a Suspect passing a fraudulent check at the Library of Congress Federal Credit Union. A Credit Union employee contacted the Complainant regarding the check. The Complainant advised they did not write the check. The Suspect left the scene prior to R/O's arrival. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 03:07:00 230514001074 R/O-1 and R/O-2 responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues NW. When arriving on scene, the officers observed a vehicle on the sidewalk with major front-end damage that resulted in airbag deployment. Upon speaking with the driver of the vehicle, R/O-1 noticed the individual had glassy, bloodshot eyes and a slow, slurred speech pattern. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 18:53:00 230513001071 R/O observed an occupied vehicle parked within a no-parking zone in the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A traffic stop was subsequently initiated. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an extraditable warrant issued out of Montgomery County, Maryland. Once Communications confirmed the warrant, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 16:33:00 230512001065 R/O was approached while on post at a door of the U.S. Capitol building by an individual having a mental health crisis. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an extraditable warrant out of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to USCP Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - HIT & RUN 10:49:00 230512001056 R/O responded to the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE for a report of a traffic accident. Upon arrival, R/O was advised a passenger bus struck the Complainant's vehicle and then continued driving eastbound on Independence Avenue. Evidence of the collision was found on the rear drivers side door of the Complainant's vehicle. CIS was advised of the incident and will continue to investigate.
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREGISTERED FIREARM UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION HIGH CAPACITY MAGAZINE 15:23:00 230512001061 R/O while performing an administrative search at a door of a Senate Office Building, discovered a firearm and a fifteen round magazine containing four rounds of ammunition. The Metropolitan Police Department gun registration unit revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. S/A responded and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - HIT & RUN 23:03:00 230511001053 R/O responded to the Unit Block of D Street NW, for the report of a hit and run. Upon arrival, R/O spoke with the Complainant who stated a vehicle struck them and drove away. An immediate search of the area was met with negative results. CSS-1 and CSS-2 responded to process the scene. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 17:39:00 230510001041 R/O responded to the 100 Block of Delaware Avenue NE for a traffic accident. A WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed the Suspect had a suspended Minnesota operator's permit with no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Subject was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RESISTING ARREST U.S. CAPITOL - SLEEP/LIE DOWN, PAVED/IMPROVED AREAS (ANYTIME) 00:48:00 230510001030 R/O observed an individual sleeping on a bench on the Southwest Drive of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O advised the Suspect multiple times that sleeping was not allowed from dusk to dawn. The Suspect did not comply with R/O directions. The Suspect then became physically combative with A/O. R/O and A/O were able to gain control, and placed the Suspect under arrest. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT II 19:52:00 230510001043 R/O responded to a House Office Building for a theft report. The Complainant reported on today's date, approximately 0841 hours, they locked their scooter to a bicycle rack on Lot 9. When the Complainant returned around 1630 hours, the lock was cut off and their scooter was stolen. A canvass of the area revealed negative results. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
