R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the rear tag, which was revealed to be associated with a felony vehicle. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the 1300 block of South Capitol Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect advised the tag affixed to the vehicle had been obtained from a friend who is a car dealer. A/O responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: - NO VALID PERMIT - MISUSE OF TAGS - RESISTING ARREST | 17:00:00 | 230216000255 | R/O observed a vehicle that passed through multiple solid red traffic lights as it traversed the 200, 300, and 400 blocks of Washington Avenue SW. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted in the 600 block of South Capitol Street SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the tags affixed to it were not valid. As R/O attempted to effect arrest, the Suspect pulled away and attempted to flee. During the ensuing struggle, the Suspect used their elbow to strike an assisting officer in the face. Once restrained, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tag displayed was not registered to that vehicle. During the traffic stop, the Suspect failed to produce a physical driver's license. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect did not have a valid permit through Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of Fifth Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the vehicle was stolen and revealed the Suspect did not have a valid permit in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia. R/O-1 and R/O-2 responded to process the scene. S/A was notified. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT - FAIL TO EXHIBIT POSS OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - VEHICLE TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID | 00:59:00 | 230205000194 | R/O while on a fixed post observed a vehicle conduct several traffic violations. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SE. Upon request, the Suspect failed to produce a physical driver's license on the scene. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the Suspect did not have a valid permit issued through the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. While speaking with the Suspect, A/O detected a moderate odor of alcohol emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the vehicle inventory, A/O observed several open containers of what appeared to be alcoholic beverages. | |
