DEFACING GOVERNMENT PROPERTY-MISD DC CODE 22-3312. | 09:18:00 | 230420000831 | R/O responded to the 100 Block of Maryland Avenue, SW, for a report of defacing of government property. Upon arrival, R/O observed a sign located in the outside garden, vandalized by what appeared to be a marker. A search of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. A/O responded and processed the scene. | |

Upon arrival R/O located the Complainant who stated they were involved in a traffic accident in the 300 Block of South Capitol Street SW at approximately 1720 hours. The Complainant stated she observed the Suspect turning their vehicle around and strike the back of her vehicle before driving off. R/O observed scratches and an indentation in the center of the Complainant's bumper. A search of the area was met with negative results. | |

CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL). ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM POSSESION OF UNREGISTRED AMMUNITION UNLAWFUL CONDUCT CAPITOL. | 10:00:00 | 230419000820 | R/O, while conducting a routine security inspection at Offsite Screening Delivery Center, discovered a loaded firearm with a magazine containing five rounds inside of a backpack belonging to the Suspect. An inquiry from the MPD Gun Registration Unit revealed the Suspect did not have a license to carry, nor was the weapon registered in the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded and recovered the weapon. S/A interviewed the Suspect and will continue to investigate. | |

R/O made verbal commands for the Suspect to leave the building. The Suspect refused to leave and continued to enter into Room 1118. The Complainant advised the Suspect was not permitted in the office. After multiple attempts, the Suspect refused to exit the office. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Upon contact, R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check, which revealed an active warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Once the warrant was confirmed by USCP Communications, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Upon arrival, the Complainant stated that one Milwaukee Press Jaws tool was taken without the owner's permission by an unknown individual. The item was last seen inside of a secured storage cage on Monday, April 10, 2023. A search of the area was met with negative results. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT NO VALID TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS UNREG - AMMO MISD. | 23:03:00 | 230417000791 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE make a right turn at a red light without stopping. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Maryland Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's tags came back registered to a different vehicle. A separate WALES/NCIC check of the passenger of the vehicle revealed a warrant out of Prince George's County, Maryland. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A search of the passenger's bag revealed several rounds of ammunition. A/O responded and processed the scene. | |
BENCH WARRANT-MISDEMEANOR. ADDITIONAL CHARGE: BENCH WARRANT-MISDEMEANOR. | 02:50:00 | 230416000787 | R/O observed a Suspect known to him walking in the 400 Block of Second Street NW. R/O also knew the Suspect had two active Misdemeanor Bench Warrants and conducted a stop. A WALES/NCIC confirmed the warrants. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
