TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 17:42:00 230204000191 R/O observed a vehicle, while missing the driver's side mirror and not displaying a front tag, traveling northbound in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect held no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID. ADDITIONAL CHARGE: POSS OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL-VEHCILE 14:49:00 230204000190 R/O observed a vehicle travelling eastbound in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE make several traffic violations. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of First Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended driver's license out of Delaware, and with no valid status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. R/O observed an open bottle consistent with that of alcohol wedged between the driver's seat and door. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 23:56:00 230204000188 R/O responded to the the intersection of D Street and Delaware Ave NE for the report of a single vehicle crash. Upon approach, R/O could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were administered, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 00:33:00 230127000150 R/O responded to the intersection of First Street and Independence Avenue SE for an illegally parked and unoccupied vehicle. Upon their return, a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an Extraditable Warrant through the State of Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 16:10:00 230126000146 R/O responded to the 100 Block of Constitution Avenue, NE for the report of a traffic accident. Upon arrival, R/O made contact with both parties involved in the traffic accident. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's permit revealed no valid status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT II, DISORDERLY CONDUCT ON US CAP GRNDS/DC 9-112, RESISTING ARREST 12:30:00 230126000144 R/O responded to the coffee shop located in the Dirksen Senate Office Building for the report of a disorderly woman. Upon arrival, R/O located an Individual matching the lookout. The Complainant identified the Suspect and advised that they were in possession of merchandise that was not paid for. While the Suspect was being placed under arrest, they became combative. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing.
UUV - FELONY POSSESION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNICATION FEEDING DEVICE FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER; RECKLESS DRIVING ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY - $1000 & OVER FELONY DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - $100 16:45:00 230124000134 R/O observed a vehicle stopped at a solid red light, in the eastbound lanes of the Unit Block of D Street NW, matching the description of a vehicle in a BOLO out of Prince Georges County, MD., for an armed carjacking. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle, which confirmed it was the same vehicle taken in an armed carjacking. The Suspected vehicle turned into the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW and began to flee at a high rate of speed at which time R/O initiated a pursuit. The vehicle continued traveling at a high rate of speed through several streets and tunnels, crossing in and out of lanes of traffic, with no regard to public safety. In the 300 Block of First Street SE, the Suspects intentionally struck multiple USCP marked vehicles and caused injury to a USCP Officer. The Suspects then exited the vehicle and fled on foot northbound in the 300 Block of Third Street SE. They were located hiding inside a freezer in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE, and taken into custody. During a search incident to arrest, a firearm containing ammunition and a large capacity feeding device was recovered from the Suspects. A WALES/NCIC check determined the weapon was also stolen from Prince George's County, MD. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check on the driver revealing the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. S/A Larity (CIS) responded to the scene and conducted a check to see if either Suspect had a District of Columbia gun registration, which was met with negative results. R/O-1 and R/O-2 responded to process the scene. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (lg)
THEFT I -STOLEN AUTO ADDITIONAL CHARGES: ROBBERY - CARJACKING DC-22-2803 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD 04:48:00 230123000123 R/O responded to the 100 Block of D Street NE for the report of a carjacking. R/O met with the Complainant who parked his vehicle in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE before being approached by the Suspect's vehicle at that location. The Complainant stated multiple Suspects exited the vehicle and one Suspect demanded the Complainant give him his wallet, car keys, and phone, to which he complied. The Suspect removed money from the wallet and damaged the Complainant's cell phone by throwing it towards a nearby parking lot. The Suspect then entered the Complainant's vehicle and drove away. A search of the area for the Complainant's vehicle was met with negative results but the broken cell phone was recovered by the Complainant. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. (eh)
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 11:06:00 230123000125 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW with expired tags. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed his license was suspended and expired. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (eh)
CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE (CPWL) ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNREG AMMO - MISD UNREG FIREARM - MISD TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS TRAFFIC - FAILURE TO OBEY POLICE POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE 02:45:00 230122000119 R/O observed a vehicle with temporary tags displaying expired registration in the Unit Block of First Street NE. A traffic stop was attempted at First and E Street NW. The Suspect failed to comply for the traffic stop. The vehicle came to an abrupt stop in the Unit Block of E Street NW and the Suspect exited the driver side of the vehicle and fled. The Suspect failed to follow verbal commands to stop running. A witness told R/O they observed the Suspect throw a gun to the ground. A/O arrived on scene and secured the firearm. Shortly afterwards, the Suspect was stopped in the 500 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW, where he was positively identified by the R/O. R/O-2 responded to the scene and recovered a 9mm extended magazine, and 39 loose rounds of ammunition laying on the sidewalk where the Suspect fled. R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A confirmed through the Metropolitan Police Department the Suspect did not have a license to carry in the District of Columbia. (tc/eb)
