ROBBERY-FORCE & VIOLENCE - FELONY. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: SIMPLE ASSAULT DC CODE 22-404. 07:16:00 230416000789 R/O observed an injured person sitting on the south sidewalk of Delaware Avenue and D Street NE. The Complainant appeared to have numerous visible facial injuries. The Complainant stated he was the victim of an assault and robbery. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 00:09:00 230416000786 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid red traffic signal at the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and G Street NW. R/O subsequently conducted a traffic stop in the 600 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. While conversing with R/O, the Suspect admitted to consuming multiple alcoholic beverages. Additionally, R/O noticed the Suspect's eyes were watery and glassy. SFSTs were administered. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT. 23:03:00 230417000790 R/O responded to 200 Maryland Avenue NE to assist with a traffic stop. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active bench warrant through the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting a search of the Suspect's person, R/O removed a bag containing two white rocks. A/O responded and tested the rocks which tested positive for synthetic amphetamines.
SIMPLE ASSAULT DC CODE 22-404 00:20:00 230415000080 R/O responded to westbound I-695 ramp prior to the Third Street tunnel exit for a report of a possible domestic violence assault. Upon arrival, R/O observed the Complainant to have a bloody nose. Further investigation revealed, the Suspect shoved and struck the Complainant multiple times. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON (DCMR). ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNLAWFUL ACTIVITIES UNREG AMMO - MISD POSS OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE. 05:23:00 230414000767 R/O was alerted by a Screening Specialist at Offsite Screening Delivery Center that a firearm was located on the back seat of a vehicle. Next to the firearm was an extended magazine capable of holding more than ten rounds and was loaded with seven rounds of ammunition. A/O responded and recovered the weapon. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL - POCA. 21:28:00 23041400779 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid red traffic signal in the Unit Block of Third Street NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the same location. While speaking with the driver, R/O noticed the driver had rigidly fixed eye contact with rapid and repetitive speech. While conducting a WALES/NCIC check, A/O advised R/O that the Suspect made a statement that he consumed an alcoholic beverage. SFST's were administered, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search, A/O located an open container in the trunk of the vehicle three quarters full consistent with that of alcohol.
CONTEMPT OF COURT 11:55:00 230413000759 R/O responded to the second floor of the James Madison Memorial Building for a call regarding a person with a stay away order from U.S Capitol Grounds. R/O located the suspect in the second floor reading room. A name check was conducted and S/A confirmed the stay away order issued by the DC Superior Courts. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. 04:13:00 230412000746 R/O responded to the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW for the report of a vehicle stopped in the southbound lane of travel. R/O observed a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop at the same location. Upon approach, R/O observed an individual asleep in the driver's seat with the vehicle running and could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of Virginia with no valid permit in the District of Columbia or Maryland. SFST's were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS. ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL-VEHICLE. 16:52:00 230411000745 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a solid red light at the intersection of Columbus Circle and Louisiana Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect throw an open beer can out the passenger side window. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were administered, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded and processed the scene.
CDW - OTHER WEAPON. 05:18:00 230410000730 R/O and several assisting officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW for an individual carrying a sword. Once on scene, the officers spoke with the Suspect who was brandishing a makeshift sword. During the conversation, the Suspect became agitated, yelled at the officers, and then swung the sword which struck a light pole. The Suspect ran to the 500 Block of South Capitol Street while still possessing the sword. R/O and A/O's attempted to arrest the Suspect who became combative. R/O and A/O's were able to gain control, and placed the Suspect under arrest. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the Suspect revealed an active Bench Warrant held by the District of Columbia Superior Court. A/O responded and processed the scene.
