Upon arrival, R/O was informed by the Complainant, that on December 14, 2023 between 1000 and 1400 hours, an unknown Suspect stole a plant from the U.S. Botanic Garden Conservatory Building. There was no video surveillance of the theft. A/O photographed and processed the scene. Crime Scene was notified. | |

While speaking with the driver, R/O observed that the Suspect had slurred speech, and bloodshot eyes. R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage that emitted from inside the vehicle.
