DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE-1ST OFF | DCC 50DC2201.05[B][1] X + BENCH WARRANT | DCC 99MPD001 5:20:00 240225000000 R/O observed a vehicle idling at a green light as traffic flowed around it at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and First Street NW. A traffic stop was initiated at the same location. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect seemingly asleep in the driver's seat. SFSTs were conducted, which yielded numerous signs of impairment. Furthermore, a WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect was subject to an active bench warrant held by the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, which was subsequently verified by Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
THEFT FIRST DEGREE (STOLEN AUTO) | DCC 22DC3211 23:55:00 240225000000 R/O was flagged down in the 600 Block of Second Street NE by an individual who stated their car was stolen. The Complainant parked their vehicle at the same location at approximately 1445 hours the same day and discovered it was missing upon their return. A canvass of the area met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
Theft Second Degree (all other larceny) | DCC 22DC3211,3212B 15:29:00 240223000000 R/O responded to the 200 Block of Maryland Avenue SW for the report of a theft. The Complainant stated they parked and secured their scooter to a bike rack at 1529 hours and returned at 1555 hours to find the scooter missing. An immediate canvass of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
No Permit | DCC 50DC1401.01 | DCC 50DC1401.01(D) 13:19:00 240221000384 R/O observed a vehicle with a faded tag expiration traveling westbound in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect returned no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE (THEFT FROM BUILDING) 14:30:00 240220000374 R/O responded to a Library of Congress building for the report of a theft. The Complainant reported securing their scooter to the bike rack at First Street and Independence Avenue SE at approximately 0655 hours and upon returning at 1430 hours, discovered the scooter missing. An immediate canvas of the area yielded negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE + RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY | DC 22DC3232 | USCLSUSC514.110 | USC 22DC3232 NO PERMIT | DCC 50DC1401.01 | DCC 50DC1401.01(D) 21:25:00 240219000372 R/O observed a vehicle that travelled eastbound in the Unit Block of E Street NE. The vehicle made an abrupt left turn, and nearly collided with R/O's cruiser. A traffic stop was conducted in the 900 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the vehicle was stolen out of the District of Columbia. In addition, R/O observed that the vehicle's ignition was also damaged. Furthermore, a WALES/NCIC check revealed the suspect did not have a valid driver's license in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + NO PERMIT | DCC 50DC1401.01 | DCC 50DC1401.01(D) 21:56:00 240219000373 R/O observed a vehicle, with a loud and modified muffler, that travelled southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES check revealed an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. An NCIC check revealed the suspect did not have a valid driver's license in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia. R/O conducted an inventory search of the vehicle, and located a metallic pipe, in plain view, with an orange tinge green leafy substance, on the end of the center console. Due to a suspicion of impairment, SFST's were conducted. As a result of numerous signs of impairment, the suspect was also charged with DUI. The suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF 03:36:00 240218000363 R/O and A/O responded for a single vehicle crash at the intersection of South Capitol and D Streets SE. Upon approach, R/O and A/O observed the Suspect who stood outside the vehicle with clear disabling front end damage due to collision with a USCP traffic barricade. R/O observed that the Suspect had slurred speech, blood shot red eyes, and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage that emanated from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted; due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
NO PERMIT 22:35:00 240218000366 R/O observed a vehicle with a broken tail light and an expired registration sticker, and travelled westbound in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. A Wales/NCIC check of the vehicle revealed the registration was expired, and the Suspect had a suspended driver's license out of Virginia, with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 02:01:00 240218000362 R/O observed a vehicle that travelled at a high rate of speed southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. The Suspect's vehicle continued westbound in the Unit Block of D Street NW, through a solid red signal at the intersection of Second and D Streets NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of D Street NW. Upon approach, R/O noticed a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage that emanated from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted; due to the numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
