NO PERMIT 1:29:00 240525001328 R/O observed a vehicle accelerate through a red traffic signal while driving westbound in the 100 Block of D Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was suspended in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 13:10:00 240524001316 R/O was notified that a Suspect wanted by Capitol Police was going to be released from a local hospital. R/O took custody of the Suspect and transported him to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 20:46:00 240524001325 R/O observed a vehicle failing to maintain one lane while driving eastbound in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was suspended in New York with no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SIMPLE ASSAULT 11:27:00 240523001301 R/O was approached by the Complainant who stated they were assaulted in the Unit Block of Third Street SW. Per the statement provided, the Suspect exited their vehicle and slapped the Complainant in the face as they attempted to cross the street on foot. The Suspect then returned to their vehicle and drove northbound on Third Street. A canvass of the area met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT, DISRUPTING A PUBLIC BUILDING 14:50:00 240523001304 R/O observed the Suspects stand and yell during a committee hearing in a House Office Building. The Suspects were warned to cease and desist their demonstration activity but refused to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + NO PERMIT 1:30:00 240523001299 R/O observed a vehicle that displayed an expired registration sticker and travelled in the 100 Block of Second Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended Virginia permit, and no valid permit status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. During the course of the stop, R/O noticed the Suspect's eyes were watery and glassy. A/O subsequently responded, and conducted SFSTs which revealed multiple signs of impairment. The Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING 14:47:00 240522001294 Officers Eaton (FRU-2) and Oestreicher (FRU-3) observed the Suspects who chanted, held up signs and sat down in the area of the Maryland Avenue walkway. The Suspects were given three warnings to cease and desist the demonstration activity, but refused to do so. The Suspects were arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.(ea)
DISORDERLY CONDUCT 10:35:00 240522001291 Officer Stidham (HD-2) was assigned to a committee hearing in the Rayburn House Office Building, and observed the Suspect who stood up, and shouted while the committee was in session. The Suspect was given a warning to cease the illegal activity, but failed to comply. The Suspect was arrested, and transported to Headquarters for processing.(ea)
ASSAULT ON A FEDERAL POLICE OFFICER 15:41:00 240522001295 DISORDERLY CONDUCT Officer Adjei (HD-3) was assigned to a committee hearing in a House Office Building and observed the Suspect stand up and start shouting while the committee was in session. The Suspect approached the Committee and struck a member of the protection detail. The Chairman of the committee advised the officers to remove the Suspect. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. S/A O'Neill was notified and will continue to investigate. (ea/ms)
UNLAWFUL DEMONSTRATING 16:11:00 240521001284 Officer Nepomuceno (FRU-3) observed multiple individuals actively demonstrating by preaching loudly and handing out pamphlets on the Rotunda Steps of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O advised the Suspects that the area was a restricted, non-demonstration zone. The Suspects were given multiple warnings to cease their demonstration activity but failed to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. (bd/dw)
