A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was suspended in New York with no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. Per the statement provided, the Suspect exited their vehicle and slapped the Complainant in the face as they attempted to cross the street on foot. The Suspect then returned to their vehicle and drove northbound on Third Street. A canvass of the area met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + NO PERMIT | 1:30:00 | 240523001299 | R/O observed a vehicle that displayed an expired registration sticker and travelled in the 100 Block of Second Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended Virginia permit, and no valid permit status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. During the course of the stop, R/O noticed the Suspect's eyes were watery and glassy. A/O subsequently responded, and conducted SFSTs which revealed multiple signs of impairment. The Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed. | |

The Suspect approached the Committee and struck a member of the protection detail. The Chairman of the committee advised the officers to remove the Suspect. R/O advised the Suspects that the area was a restricted, non-demonstration zone. The Suspects were given multiple warnings to cease their demonstration activity but failed to do so.
