The WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an outstanding warrant through Maryland State Police. USCP Communications confirmed the warrant was active and extraditable. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| BENCH WARRANT-MISDEMEANOR + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 17:16:00 | 230609001339 | R/O responded to the intersection of First Street and Constitution Avenue NW for the report of a person laying in the middle of the road. Upon arrival R/O observed the Suspect laying on the ground and conducted a WALES/NCIC check which revealed the Suspect had a warrant which USCP Communications confirmed was active. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While in processing R/O observed signs of impairment. SFSTs were administered and due to the numerous signs an additional charge was added. | |
| TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID | 16:45:00 | 230608001328 | R/O observed a vehicle, travelling eastbound in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE, switch lanes in an unsafe manner without using a turn signal. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the Suspect and the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to the numerous signs of impairment the Suspect was placed under arrest. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SE. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, an open container of alcohol was discovered. | |

While on the scene, R/O made contact with the Complainant who stated they parked their vehicle on the lot on June 6, 2023 at 0700 hours. When the Complainant returned to his vehicle, the back passenger window was shattered and the steering column was destroyed in an apparent attempt to steal the vehicle. CSS responded and processed the scene. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

Upon approaching the Suspect's vehicle, R/O observed an open bottle of an alcoholic beverage in plain view on the passenger floorboard. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no permit status in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A WALES/NCIC check revealed no valid registration for the vehicle's tags. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Attempts to locate the Suspect was met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
