Upon approach, R/O smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed an open container of alcohol in the center console. SFST's were conducted; due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. (mf) | |

Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person, their eyes appeared to be watery, and their speech was slurred and slow to react to questioning. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's Virginia tags revealed they were not on file. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle's VIN revealed it was last registered in Maryland, but the tags were marked as returned. Furthermore, a WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed the individual did not have a valid license issued through Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect was subject to a bench warrant issued through the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. MPD's Crime Scene Unit responded and processed the vehicle. |
