TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01:51:00 220806001196 R/O observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 600 block of North Capitol Street, NW, make a right turn without utilizing its traffic signal, driving slower than the posted speed limit, and nearly striking the curb. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of E Street, NW. Upon approach, R/O noticed that the Suspect had glassy and watery eyes. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY - MISD 16:13:00 220805001194 R/O observed an individual step over the "No Public Access" stanchions into a restricted area of the Senate steps of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O determined the Suspect was not allowed to be in the restricted area, and gave multiple verbal commands to leave. When he refused to comply, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 14:31:00 220804001182 ADDITIONAL CHARGE: POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags traveling westbound in the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of Columbus Circle, NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended license out of Maryland with no status in Virginia or the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While being processed, R/O-2 discovered a white, powdery substance folded into a receipt in the Suspect's wallet. CSS responded and processed the scene. A field test of the substance yielded a positive result for Cocaine.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT -OPERATING AFTER SUSPENSION 12:10:00 220803001174 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired registration traveling eastbound in the unit block of Columbus Circle, NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was revoked in the District of Columbia and Virginia, with no status in Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 13:40:57 220803001172 R/O observed multiple Suspects chanting, standing in the roadway, and blocking the flow of traffic at the intersection of First and East Capitol Streets. The Suspects were warned to cease and desist with their unlawful demonstration activities, but they refused to do so. Seven Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
MISD WARRANT 12:39:00 220803001175 R/O observed a Suspect, matching the description for a lookout, in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. R/O conducted a stop in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an outstanding bench warrant from D.C. Superior Court. After confirming the warrant with USCP Communications, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UUV - FELONY 18:43:00 220802001169 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UUV PASSENGER; CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE - FELONY; POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE; POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMO FEEDING DEVICE; POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMO - MISD; RECKLESS DRIVING - MISD; RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SE, matching the description of a reported stolen vehicle from an LPR alert. R/O confirmed the vehicle's status through USCP Communications, and attempted to initiate a traffic stop, when the Suspects fled at a high rate of speed, heading eastbound in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. R/O observed the vehicle commit several traffic offenses while fleeing before proceeding through a stop sign at the intersection of Twelfth Street and Independence Avenue, SE, and colliding with another vehicle. While attempting to extract the two Suspects from the vehicle, R/O and the Assisting Officer observed a black pistol with an extended clip within reach of the driver's control. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the firearm was not registered in the District of Columbia. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene, and recovered a 9mm firearm and one large-capacity magazine containing eleven rounds of ammunition.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 20:29:00 220801001168 R/O responded to the report of a person, as being a missing person, walking on the highway from the I-395/South Capitol Street split. R/O observed an individual walking in the 300 block of Washington Avenue, SW, matching the broadcasted lookout. A stop was conducted in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SW, and a WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had an outstanding extraditable warrant for Failure to Appear out of Baltimore County, Maryland. After confirmation, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE 08:22:00 220731001163 R/O observed a completely naked individual in the street at Third Street and Maryland Avenue, SW. A stop was conducted at the same location. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 03:28:00 220731001161 ADDITIONAL CHARGE: RECKLESS DRIVING - MISD R/O observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in the 400 block of South Capitol Street, with both tires shredded. R/O activated his emergency equipment and attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the same location. The Suspect failed to yield to R/O's emergency equipment and verbal commands over the loud speaker. The vehicle continued at a low rate of speed erratically shifting lanes. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of Washington Avenue, SW. The Suspect was asked if he consumed any alcohol or drugs to which he responded in the affirmative. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
