R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check on the vehicle tags which revealed no registration on file. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NW. R/O conducted a VIN check through USCP Communications which came back stolen out of Tallahassee, Florida. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

The Complainant stated that they parked their scooter at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and C Street NE at approximately 1230 hours on October 11, 2023. When the Complainant returned at approximately 1705 hours on the same date they discovered the scooter was missing. A canvass of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

The Complainant stated he was turning westbound from 8th Street SE onto Pennsylvania Ave SE when his vehicle was struck on the rear passenger side. A search of the area met with negative results. The inquiry also revealed the vehicle's temporary tags were not on file. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Louisiana Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong smell of alcohol emanating from the vehicle, and in plain sight an open container of alcohol on the front driver side floor. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a suspended operators permit in South Carolina, with no status in the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland. | TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 02:55:00 | 231007002324 | R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in the 600 Block of South Capitol Street SE pass through a red light. The vehicle continued traveling northbound passing through additional red signal lights. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW. Upon approach, R/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. SFST's were conducted and due to the numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
