THEFT II | 11:54:00 | 220920001437 | R/Os observed a Suspect run out of an establishment in the 200 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE, followed by the Complainant. The Complainant reported to the officers the Suspect stole numerous items without paying. R/Os detained the Suspect, who was in possession of the stolen items. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
ADW - BLADED WEAPON | 16:34:00 | 220919001433 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: ROBBERY; THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM R/O responded to the 100 block of First Street, NW, for the report of a man with a knife who threatened to harm the Complainant. After arriving on the scene, R/O observed a person matching the descriptionof the Suspect given by the Complainant. A stop was conducted in the same location, and with aid of the A/Os, the Suspect was placed in handcuffs. The Complainant stated that the Suspect began following him demanding money. When the Complainant refused, the Suspect brandished a knife and began to threaten him. A canvas of the area was conducted and a knife matching the description was found. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID | 00:07:00 | 220919001427 | R/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration traveling northbound in the 100 block of First Street, NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the registration returned with an expired and suspended status. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the unit block of Constitution Avenue, NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's driver's license returned with a suspended status out of Maryland, with no valid permit in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 00:17:00 | 220918001424 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE; TRAFFIC - NO VALID PERMIT; FAILURE TO ID SELF R/O observed a vehicle run a red light at the intersection of South Capitol Street and Independence Avenue, SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the unit block of Independence Avenue, SE. The Suspect provided what appeared to be a fraudulent operator's permit. A WALES/NCIC check did not show a return for the permit. While the Suspect was being placed under arrest, R/O observed a Maryland Identification Card with a different name. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had a suspended Maryland license with no permit status in the District of Columbia or Virginia, and three open warrants out of Prince George's County, Maryland. A/O noticed an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect, along with observing open containers of alcohol inside the Suspect's vehicle. SFTSs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 block of North Capitol Street, NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's Maryland identification card revealed an expired District of Columbia driver's license with no permit status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
BENCH WARRANT-MISDEMEANOR | 16:15:32 | 220916001417 | R/O conducted a stop on an individual in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, that had been observed carrying a metal stick, and was reported to be threatening individuals. A WALES/NCIC check on the Suspect revealed an active warrant out of the District of Columbia for Failure to Appear. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE | 13:26:00 | 220915001409 | R/O was dispatched to the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SE, for an investigation. Upon arrival, R/O made contact with the Complainant, who stated that a woman was refusing to return his property to him. A WALES/NCIC check of the Complainant revealed that he was subject to an active extraditable warrant out of Maryland. The warrant was confirmed by USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
ROBBERY - FELONY | 16:00:00 | 220915001411 | ADDITIONAL CHARGE: THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM; SIMPLE ASSULT; THEFT SECOND DEGREE; DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY LESS THAN $1000 R/O responded to the unit block of D Street, NE, for the report of a robbery. R/O made contact with the Complainant who stated she had been assaulted and robbed. She positively identified the Suspect who was sitting on a bench nearby. The Complainant stated that the Suspect ripped a bag out of her arms causing her to sustain an injury. The Suspect then broke the items in the bag by throwing the bag to the ground, and threatened to kill the Complainant. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD | 15:42:00 | 220914001399 | R/O responded to the rear alley of the 200 block of C Street, NE, for the report of Destruction of Property. The Assisting Officer (A/O) observed the Suspect breaking the window of the Madonna House. The window leading to the basement was broken with shards of glass along the sidewalk and inside the window pane. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. |
