During the traffic crash investigation, the Suspect advised R/O that there was a handgun on the vehicle's center console in plain view. R/O observed a black, holstered handgun in that location. Multiple rounds of ammunition and a large capacity magazine were also discovered in the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
| ASSAULT ON A POLICE/FIRE - FELONY DC CODE 22-405 | 15:29:00 | 220706000989 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: ADW - OTHER WEAPON (MOLOTOV COCKTAIL); POSSESSION OF A DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE; RESISTING ARREST R/Os responded to the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW, for a report of a male with a Molotov cocktail. R/Os arrived on scene and observed the Suspect attempting to ignite a glass bottle containing a colored liquid with a piece of white cloth stuffed into the bottle's opening. Upon approach, the Suspect refused all verbal commands, and attempted to flee westbound on Massachusetts Avenue away from the Officers. The Suspect became violently combative, and both R/Os were bitten during the arrest. During the search incident to arrest, a two-liter soda bottle with translucent liquid consistent with the appearance and odor of gasoline were found inside the Suspect's bag. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

Upon arrival, R/O observed a piece of white fabric on fire in the roadway. Surveillance video identified two Suspects who were involved. A lookout was broadcast for the Suspects. Both Suspects were located, placed under arrest, and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop in the same location. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect slumped forward behind the wheel. After waking the Suspect, R/O instructed him to step out of the vehicle. R/O immediately detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the vehicle inventory, R/O observed a cup in the center console half-filled with what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage. | |

The Complainant approached GPO Police Officers and stated the Suspect attempted to stab him and his family members. The Suspect was observed fleeing northbound into the 400 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW. The Suspect was detained in the same location. During a pat down, a folded knife was discovered in the Suspect's pocket. A show-up was conducted and yielded a positive identification. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect, which revealed an active warrant out of Prince George's County, Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. |
