R/O conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC inquiry revealed the Suspect had a suspended Michigan license, with no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The inquiry also confirmed the Suspect had an active, extraditable warrant out of Arlington County, Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

Upon arrival, R/O spoke with the Complainant who stated a vehicle struck theirs and then fled the scene without providing any information. An immediate search of the area was met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

The Complainant stated that an unknown male with a knife punched them in the face while exiting the Eastern Market Metro Station before fleeing southbound on Seventh Street SE. A canvas of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

A WALES/NCIC check revealed the tags belonged to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect held no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| UUV - FELONY + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS | 20:48:00 | 230822001949 | R/O observed a vehicle with heavy front-end damage traveling the wrong way eastbound in the 200 Block of Virginia Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of E Street SW. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect sweating profusely, with bloodshot eyes, and rapid speech. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Virginia, or Maryland. When asked to step out of the vehicle, R/O observed drug paraphernalia fall out of the Suspect's waistband. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, several license plates and credit cards were discovered. A WALES/NCIC check of the license plates and VIN of the vehicle revealed one plate and the vehicle to be stolen out of the District of Columbia. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
| UUV - FELONY + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERETY -$1000 & OVER-FELONY TRAFFIC -MISUSE OF TAGS | 03:45:00 | 230821001940 | R/O observed a vehicle bearing temporary tags traveling northbound in the 500 Block of South Capitol Street SE. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle which returned with no registration on file. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Washington Avenue SW. R/O observed a broken rear passenger window, and altered VIN numbers on both the front driver side windshield and door. During further investigation, R/O and A/O located a different VIN in the engine compartment. R/O conducted a VIN check through USCP Communications which came back stolen out of Prince George's County, MD. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS will continue to investigate. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Third Street NE. Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect was in an manic state, and had bloodshot eyes. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect's permit revealed a suspended status in Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, R/O observed a syringe containing a clear liquid located between the driver seat and the center console. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |

R/O observed the Suspect holding a cardboard sign. The Suspect was given three warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activity, but refused to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active, extraditable warrant out of Virginia. USCP Communications confirmed the warrant. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 02:23:00 | 230820001934 | R/O responded to a possible vehicle crash in the southbound lane of I-395 just outside the Third Street Tunnel. Upon approach, R/O could detect a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath and person. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
