DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - $1000+ - FELONY 09:10:00 230815001902 R/O responded to Louisiana Avenue and D Street NW for a report of a damaged vehicle. Upon arrival, R/O made contact with the Complainant who stated he parked the vehicle on the west curb of the 300 Block of New Jersey NW at 0910 hours. When the Complainant returned at 1110 hours, there was large scratches on the drivers side, passengers side, and rear end of the vehicle. CSS responded and processed the scene. CID was notified and will continue to investigate.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 02:19:00 230815001900 R/O observed a vehicle pass through a red signal at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and D Street NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC of the Suspect revealed a suspended operators permit in Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 03:39:00 230813001893 R/O observed a vehicle with no headlights illuminated that travelled eastbound in the 300 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Fourth Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD 15:00:00 230812001887 R/O responded to the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW for a report of damage to property. The Complainant advised they parked their vehicle earlier in the day with no damage. When the Complainant returned, they observed a long scratch on the driver's side of the vehicle. CSS responded, and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - HIT & RUN 06:00:00 230812001892 R/O responded to the 400 Block of Delaware Avenue NE to meet with a Complainant. When R/O arrived on scene, the Complainant stated that he parked his car in a parking spot, and upon return, discovered damage to the vehicle. CSS responded, and processed the scene. CIS was notified, and will continue to investigate.
FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: NO PERMIT 15:49:00 230811001884 R/O observed a vehicle with an expired registration traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle, NE. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a confirmed active warrant out of Maryland. The inquiry also revealed the Suspect had a suspended operators permit in Maryland, with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
OAS\OAR - MISD DC 50-1401.01 08:52:00 230810001876 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW with a non-functioning taillight and an expired tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended District of Columbia permit with no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT I -STOLEN AUTO 05:08:00 230810001875 R/O responded to the 200 Block of C Street NE for a report of a stolen auto. Once on scene, R/O met with the Complainant and discovered the theft was captured on surveillance cameras. The video showed, on 08/10/2023 at 2200 hours, three unidentified Suspects stole the Complainants vehicle. A canvass of the area was met with negative results. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
UUV - FELONY + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: CARRYING A PISTOL W/O A LICENSE UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON (DCMR) UNREG AMMO - MISD POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY - $1000 & OVER - FELONY 13:32:00 230810001881 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NW with temporary tags and conducted a WALES/NCIC check. The inquiry revealed no listing for the tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the VIN revealed the vehicle was stolen out of Florida. During an inventory search of the vehicle, R/O discovered a firearm loaded with a large capacity feeding device containing multiple rounds of ammunition. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect did not possess a license to carry the pistol nor was the firearm registered in the District of Columbia. CSS responded to process the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1000 - MISD 08:30:00 230809001865 R/O responded to the 1000 Block of Second Street SE for a destruction of property report involving a USCP fleet vehicle. R/O observed the rear passenger window of the vehicle was shattered. A canvassing of the area for the Suspect was met with negative results. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS responded to the scene and will continue to investigate.
