DISORDERLY CONDUCT - MISD 15:13:11 220518000667 R/O responded to a call for a person attempting to gain entry into multiple vehicles in the 400 block of First Street, NE. The Suspect fled when approached by a parking attendant. R/O initiated a contact of the Suspect in the 200 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NE. The Suspect was identified as the individual who attempted to gain access into the vehicles. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 01:31:00 2205160000658 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID; RECKLESS DRIVING - MISD R/O observed a vehicle proceeding the wrong way in the 400 block of South Capitol Street, SW, at a high rate of speed. A WALES/NCIC check of Suspect revealed no valid permit on file in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 16:45:00 220512000646 R/O observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SE, with malfunctioning brake lights, and expired tag taped to the back of the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect to have a suspended permit out of Ohio, with no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY - MISD 10:31:00 220512000644 R/O observed the Suspect enter into a restricted area on the East Plaza of the U.S. Capitol. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect resulted in negative results. R/O gave verbal commands for the Suspect to exit the restricted area. After the Suspect refused to comply, he was then placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 02:00:00 220511000630 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID; MISUSE OF TAGS R/O observed a vehicle without illuminated headlights. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of Constitution Avenue, NW. Upon approach, R/O observed that the Suspect had glassy and watery eyes. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag came back to a different vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended permit out of Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID 12:15:00 220511000636 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE F220 R/O observed a vehicle in the unit block of M Street, NW, bearing known stolen tags. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the tags' stolen status. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Fourth Street, SW, and the Suspect took flight on foot. R/O and Assisting Officer gave chase, and apprehended the Suspect in the 200 block of K Street, SW. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended permit out of Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. CSS responded and processed the scene.
UUV - FELONY 17:33:00 220510000629 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECIEVING STOLEN PROPERTY R/O observed a vehicle matching the description of a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Independence Avenue, SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the vehicle confirmed the vehicle was stolen. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS 00:05:00 220510000627 ADDITIONAL CHARGE: PERMIT - NO VALID R/O observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way eastbound in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the same location. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the Suspect did not have a District of Columbia driver's license, and was revoked out of Virginia. R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER - MISDEMEANOR 19:53:00 509000625 ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RESISTING ARREST; DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1,000-MISD R/O responded to the 100 block of Independence Avenue, SW, for a report of destruction of property. Upon arrival, R/O observed the Suspect removing flowers by the roots from the side of the U.S. Botanic Garden. R/O and Assisting Officers made contact with the Suspect, who began to fight, kick, and spit at the Officers. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CROWDING OBSTRUCTING INCOMMODING DC CODE 22-1307 15:15:00 220509000623 R/O observed the Suspects chanting and blocking passage in the intersection of Delaware and Constitution Avenues, NE. The Suspects were warned to cease and desist with their unlawful demonstration activities, but they refused. Six Suspects were placed under arrest and processed on scene.
