After waking the Suspect, R/O detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspect's breath. SFSTs were conducted and, due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed an open bottle of alcohol behind the driver's seat. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the Suspect did not have a valid license in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, and was subject to an active extraditable warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals Service. The warrant was confirmed by USCP Communications. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| SIMPLE ASSAULT DC CODE 22-404 | 15:38:00 | 220526000722 | ADDITIONAL CHARGES: VIOLATION - TPO; TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID R/O responded to the intersection of Third and D Streets, NE, for the report of a traffic accident, and an assault in progress. Upon arrival, R/O observed the Complainant lying face down on the ground and bleeding from the head and mouth. During the initial investigation, the Complainant stated they had been assaulted by the Suspect while in the vehicle driven by the Suspect, who remained on scene and was positively identified by the Complainant. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect did not possess a valid driver's permit in the District of Columbia, and was in violation of a Protection Order issued by the District of Columbia's Superior Court.
