R/O conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of First Street and Columbus Circle, NE. As R/O approached the vehicle, the vehicle fled eastbound on Massachusetts Avenue NE. The vehicle then struck another vehicle in the intersection of Third Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE, and the Suspect fled on foot. R/O located the Suspect in the 300 Block of C Street, NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's permit revealed no valid status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. A/O responded, and processed the scene. S/A was notified, and will continue to investigate. | |

Upon arrival, R/O spoke with the Complainant who stated the Suspect grabbed his neck, threw him to the ground, and then fled the scene, headed southbound on South Capitol Street. A lookout was broadcast, and the Suspect was located. During a show up, the Complainant positively identified the Suspect. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O conducted a traffic stop at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver had a suspended permit in North Carolina and no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended license out of Maryland with no valid permit in the District of Columbia or Virginia. SFST's were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A search for the Suspect was met with negative results. Officer West and Technician Robinson (CSS) responded and processed the scene. | |
| THEFT II | 12:30:00 | 230222000299 | R/O responded to the O'Neill House Office Building for the report of a theft. Upon arrival, the Complainant informed R/O that several items were discovered missing from a secure room. The items reported missing were a MacBook, an HP Laptop, and two iPad Pros. The items were last seen in mid-December, 2022. A search of the area was met with negative results. S/A was notified and will continue to investigate. | |

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: TRAFFIC - PERMIT-NO VALID TRAFFIC - MISUSE OF TAGS | 12:43:00 | 230220000282 | R/O observed a vehicle with its windows down and a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle traveling eastbound in the Unit Block of D Street NE. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check on the tag, which returned to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Second Street NE. Upon approach, R/O noticed the Suspect's eyes were red, watery, and bloodshot. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's Maryland ID card revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. SFST's were conducted; due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

R/O also observed the Suspect pass through multiple red lights, and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The Suspect of the vehicle disregarded R/O's emergency equipment, and accelerated through additional red lights. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Second Street and Washington Avenue SW. The Suspect failed to produce a permit. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
