NO PERMIT + UNLAWFUL POSSESSION AMMUNITION 20:51:00 2.50207E+11 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags traveling in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's Maryland license was suspended with no valid status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a Glock ten round magazine containing nine rounds was recovered. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS notified.
DEFACING GOVERNEMENT PROPERTY 8:06:00 2.50207E+11 R/O while patrolling the northeast grounds of the U.S. Capitol Building observed a phrase written in chalk by North Barricade. CSS responded and processed the scene.
NO PERMIT 23:44:00 2.50207E+11 R/O and A/O observed a vehicle drive through a solid red light at the intersection of First Street and New Jersey Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver had no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing.
BURGLARY TWO + DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY LESS THAN $1000 20:00:33 2.50206E+11 CIS was contacted in regard to a burglary that occurred on February 5, on Second Street SE. Per the Complainant, the front door of their residence was found unlocked upon returning from work at approximately 2000 hours. After entering the residence, the Complainant discovered the lights were on, a window had been opened, and the screen for that window had been removed. Furthermore, there were signs that someone tampered with items throughout the residence. However, the Complainant advised no items were known to be missing. CSS responded to process the scene.
CARRYING A PISTOL WITHOUT A LICENSE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED FIREARM/UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM OR DESTRUCTIVE DEVICE POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY AMMUNITION FEEDING DEVICE (X2) POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION 21:35:00 250204000308 R/O conducted an administrative search of a vehicle, with the consent of the driver, as it attempted to enter the South Barricade of the U.S. Capitol Building. During the course of the search, R/O discovered a handgun loaded with a 12-round magazine containing 11 rounds of ammunition and a separate 15-round magazine containing 11 rounds of ammunition. S/A verified through the Metropolitan Police Department's Gun Registration Unit that the driver of the vehicle had no permit to carry a firearm within the District of Columbia nor was there record of a firearm or any associated ammunition registered under the driver's name. CSS responded to process the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE + POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION POSS PROHIBITED WEAPON POSS W/I TO DIST MARIJUANA-MISD POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE-MISD 20:14:00 250205000321 R/O observed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal while turning onto the Unit Block of D Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of D Street NW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O noticed a strong odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. During a search incident to arrest, a baggie with a pill fell out of the Suspect's pants pocket. During an inventory search of the vehicle, a box of ammunition, a significant amount of a green leafy substance, scales, rolling paper, plastic baggies, and a hatchet were discovered. CSS responded to process the scene and the Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. A lab test was later conducted on the pill, which tested positively for Codeine. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE 1:48:00 250205000310 R/O observed a vehicle traveling northbound in a southbound lane within the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. R/O conducted a traffic stop at the same location. While speaking with the driver, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were administered. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
BENCH WARRANT - FAILURE TO APPEAR X2 17:27:00 250205000319 R/O observed the Suspect, known to be a wanted person by R/O, in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A WALES/NCIC check through USCP Communications confirmed the Suspect had two misdemeanor bench warrants issued by the District of Columbia Superior Court. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 2:36:00 250204000302 R/O observed a vehicle proceed through a solid red traffic signal traveling eastbound at the intersection of Constitution and Maryland Avenues. R/O initiated a traffic stop in the 200 Block of East Capitol Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect's license was suspended through Virginia with no driving status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUG + POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 23:27:00 250203000301 R/O observed a vehicle stopped at a red light facing northbound at the intersection of South Capitol and E Streets SW. R/O observed as the vehicle sat through two light cycles without moving. R/O positioned his cruiser behind the vehicle to check on the welfare of the driver. Upon approaching the vehicle, R/O knocked on the window, to which the Suspect rolled the windows down. When asking questions to the Suspect, R/O observed that the Suspect had slurred speech. R/O also observed that, in plain view, on the center console, was a blue capsule containing a white powdery substance. A similar white powdery substance was observed on the Suspect's pants. SFST's were administered and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene.
