A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the tags were expired, and a traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. During the traffic stop, R/O could smell a faint odor of cannibis emanating from the vehicle and observed that the Suspect's eyes were dilated. Additionally, the Suspect admitted to consuming marijuana earlier in the day. SFSTs were conducted, and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

A stop was conducted at the same location. The Suspect stated they had a knife in their right front pocket. R/O retrieved the knife, confirming it was a switchblade. The Suspect was also in possession of bolt cutters, a cut bicycle lock, and a bicycle. CIS confirmed the items to be those matching a stolen bicycle and destroyed lock from Delaware Avenue and C Street NE. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
