CRIMINAL CONTEMPT OF COURT 11:45:00 250512001554 R/O observed an individual known to have a stay away order on the House Plaza of the U.S. Capitol Building. A stop was subsequently conducted, and a WALES/NCIC check verified the stay away order was still valid. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF 0:20:00 250512001548 R/O observed a vehicle without running lights driving erratically in the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of E Street NW. During the course of the stop, R/O detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle and observed the Suspect's speech was heavily slurred. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 21:29:00 250512001562 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the 500 Block of North Capitol Street without headlights. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the Suspect's license was suspended in Maryland with no status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DEFACEMENT OF PUBLIC PROPERTY 9:55:00 250512001551 R/O observed black graffiti on the sidewalk adjacent to the Capitol Reflecting Pool while patrolling the 100 Block of Maryland Avenue SW. Initial attempts to identify a Suspect yielded negative results. CSS responded to process the scene.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 2:03:00 250511001541 R/O observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation at the intersection of North Capitol Street and Louisiana Avenue NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. During the stop, R/O observed that the Suspect's eyes were bloodshot, red and watery. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + LEAVING AFTER COLLIDING - PROPERTY DAMAGE RESISTING ARREST ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER 4:50:00 250511001544 R/O responded to Interstate 395 North for a report of a traffic accident involving a single vehicle near the D Street SW exit. Upon arriving on scene, R/O observed a person walking away from the wrecked vehicle through multiple lanes of traffic. R/O directed the individual to stop and move out of the roadway, but they failed to comply. R/O had to physically escort the person to a safe location. While speaking with the individual, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from their breath. Upon determining the person was the driver of the wrecked vehicle, R/O conducted SFSTs. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest. Once in handcuffs the Suspect became combative and attempted to kick several assisting officers multiple times. The Suspect was transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded to process the scene. An empty open container of an alcoholic was discovered during an inventory search of the vehicle.
NO PERMIT 2:08:00 250511001542 R/O observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation at the intersection of Louisiana and Constitution Avenues NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of Constitution Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended status out of South Carolina and no driving status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE + NO PERMIT 0:40:00 250510001529 R/O observed a vehicle displaying an expired registration in the 1300 Block of South Capitol Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1200 Block of South Capitol Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect's license revealed a suspended status in Maryland and no valid status in the District of Columbia or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the processing intake search, A/O located two small plastic bags containing a white powdery substance. CSS responded and processed the scene.
NO PERMIT + COUNTERFEIT TAGS 20:06:00 250509001527 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 200 Block of D Street NE displaying a fictitious tag. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag yielded negative results. A traffic stop was conducted in the 300 Block of D Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the name provided by the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
CRIMINAL CONTEMPT OF COURT 14:09:00 250509001518 R/O responded to the report of a barred individual walking on the Senate Plaza of The U.S. Capitol Building looking into vehicles belonging to Congressional Employees. R/O made contact with the Suspect who did not want to speak to the officer and walked away. R/O reviewed a BOLO from USCP Criminal Investigation Section (CIS) that revealed an active stay away order from all Capitol Grounds. A subject stop was conducted in the Unit Block of First Street NE. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
