A traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the driver's permit was suspended in the District of Columbia, with no status in Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 21:15:00 | 240804002039 | R/O observed a vehicle run multiple solid red traffic lights, in addition to committing several other traffic violations, as it travelled westbound on H Street between Second and North Capitol Streets NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of H Street NW. Suspecting the driver was impaired due to the series of traffic infractions, R/O requested A/O to conduct SFSTs. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
| SIMPLE ASSAULT + THREATS TO DO BODILY HARM-MISD TRAFFIC-DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 18:35:00 | 240802002028 | R/O observed two individuals engaged in a physical altercation in the 200 Block of Second Street SW. A/Os arrived on scene and separated both parties. S2 stated that S1 became upset, started yelling loudly and hit S2 in the head and neck area by force, with a closed fist. S2 had a mark on the right cheek that was consistent with being struck. Due to the visible markings on S2 face, S1 was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While being handcuffed S2 made threatening statements to do physical harm to S1 at home. A/O spoke with S1 who stated that they had a drink earlier in the day. A/O detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from S1's breath. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, S1 was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. Crime Scene responded to processing to photograph the injuries. | |

Complainant stated he walked to his vehicle and the driver sideview mirror was broken and hanging by electrical wires. There was also a scratch on the rear driver side door. CSS processed the scene.
