The Complainant reported accidently having left their vehicle window down when they parked their vehicle. Upon returning ten minutes later, the Complainant discovered several personnel items had been stolen from their vehicle. A canvas of the area was met with negative results. Upon arrival, the Complainant advised R/O that an unknown Suspect broke the lock of a government owned vehicle parked at the same location. The Complainant stated the doors were locked on Friday, April 12, 2024. USCP closed-circuit television (CCTV) captured the offense. A canvas for the Suspect was met with negative results. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended Virginia permit, with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O located a significant amount of a Marijuana substance in variously packaged bags within a gallon size plastic bag and a scale. CSS responded and processed the scene. |
