DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - 1ST OFFENSE 7:45:00 240419000929 R/O observed a vehicle that approached Traffic 2 at 400 New Jersey Avenue SE, struck the barricade arm, and then drove onto the curb. R/O suspected the Suspect was impaired. A/O responded to the scene to conduct SFSTs. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Metropolitan Police Department's First District Station, and processed.
THEFT I 16:45:00 240418000922 R/O responded to a call for a reported theft in a room in a House Office Building. The Complainant stated that electronics were stolen. The Complainant advised the items were delivered sometime in February 2024 and a staff member discovered that the items were stolen on the evening of Monday, April 15th. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS responded and will continue to investigate.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY 5:23:00 240417000893 R/O responded to the the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE for destruction of property. R/O observed physical damage to the outer wall (Southeast corner) of the construction complex with visible signs of forced entry. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT 11:59:00 240417000896 R/O observed a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW with an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended Virginia drivers license with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT- DISRUPTING A PUBLIC CONVEYANCE 10:38:00 240417000893 R/O responded to a disturbance in a committee room in a House Office Building. R/O observed the Suspect disrupting a hearing while shouting loudly. A/O directed the Suspect to cease their activity, but they continued to disrupt the proceeding. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE 15:54:00 240417000903 R/O was alerted via a license plate reader of a hit on a stolen vehicle. R/O located the vehicle in the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check confirmed the vehicles stolen status. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of C Street NW. The Suspect refused to identify where he received the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
No Permit | DCC 50DC1401.01 | DCC 50DC1401.01(D) 8:43:00 240416000877 R/O responded to the Unit Block of E Street SE for the report of a traffic crash. Upon arrival, R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check of the individual operating the striking vehicle, which revealed no driver status in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
THEFT SECOND DEGREE (THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE) 15:35:00 240415000872 R/O responded for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle in the 200 Block of E Street NE. The Complainant reported accidently having left their vehicle window down when they parked their vehicle. Upon returning ten minutes later, the Complainant discovered several personnel items had been stolen from their vehicle. A canvas of the area was met with negative results. CIS was notified, and will continue to investigate.
DESTRUCTION OF FEDERAL PROPERTY 8:37:00 240415000867 R/O responded to the intersection of New Jersey Avenue and C Street NW for a destruction of property report. Upon arrival, the Complainant advised R/O that an unknown Suspect broke the lock of a government owned vehicle parked at the same location. The Complainant stated the doors were locked on Friday, April 12, 2024. USCP closed-circuit television (CCTV) captured the offense. A canvas for the Suspect was met with negative results. CSS responded, and processed the scene. CIS was notified, and will continue to investigate.
NO PERMIT + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: POSS W/I TO DISP A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 23:41:00 240114000866 R/O observed a vehicle travelling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street with a flat front tire. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a suspended Virginia permit, with no status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During an inventory search of the vehicle, A/O located a significant amount of a Marijuana substance in variously packaged bags within a gallon size plastic bag and a scale. CSS responded and processed the scene.
