A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of First Street NW. A firearm was recovered from the Suspect, who did not possess a license to carry in the District of Columbia. The weapon contained a high-capacity magazine loaded with one (1) round chambered and additional eighteen (18) rounds in the magazine. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS conducted a custodial interview and will continue to investigate. | |

While speaking with the Suspect R/O detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted. Due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
