TRAFFIC - PERMIT - NO VALID + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE 1:50:00 240310000521 R/O observed a vehicle that displayed an expired temporary registration in the 500 Block of H Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of H Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the vehicle's registration was expired. A WALES/NCIC check via word of mouth was conducted on the driver which revealed an expired New Jersey permit, with no status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. A WALES/NCIC check via word of mouth of the passenger revealed an extraditable warrant out of New Jersey, along with two bench warrants out of the District of Columbia. The warrants were confirmed through USCP Communications. Both Suspects were arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | DCC 50DC2206.11 0:40:00 240309000518 R/O observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic infractions as it travelled in the area of the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 700 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage that emitted from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect arrested, transported to HQ, and processed.
ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) + RESISTING ARREST UNLAWFUL ENTRY 15:40:00 240308009011 During the security screening process in the Capitol Visitor Center, R/O observed what appeared to be a hammer in the Suspect's backpack. The Suspect became agitated, and attempted to grab the backpack from R/O. The Suspect resisted, and was subdued. The Suspect was arrested, transported to HQ, and processed.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING (M) 22:00:00 240307000508 R/O observed an individual screaming loudly during the State of the Union Address in Gallery 7 of the U.S. Capitol Building. The Suspect was given several warnings to stop their demonstration activity but failed to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING (M) 11:50:00 240307000501 R/O observed an individual holding a banner and yelling in the Rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building. The Suspect was given warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activities but failed to do so. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
CROWDING, OBSTRUCTING, OR INCOMMODING (M) 10:17:00 240307000500 R/O observed multiple individuals blocking the hallway, displaying signs, and yelling near a room in the Longworth House Office Building. The Suspects were given warnings to cease and desist their demonstration activities but failed to do so. The Suspects were placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.
DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF 1:11:00 240306000484 R/O observed a vehicle that idled through the course of multiple green lights at the intersection of First Street and Constitution Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. Upon approach, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage that emitted from the Suspect's breath and person. SFSTs were conducted. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
THEFT II + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: RESISTING AREST BENCH WARRENT 12:46:00 240306000490 R/O was flagged down in the Unit Block of I Street SE for the report of a theft. The Complainant stated they were just robbed and pointed to the Suspect. As R/O attempted to place the Suspect under arrest, the Suspect ripped his arm away and began running away on foot southbound on Half Street SE. Multiple A/O's apprehended the Suspect in the 1000 Block of Half Street SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active bench warrant through the District of Columbia Superior Court. CSS responded to process the scene. CIS responded to investigate. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: NO PERMIT FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MISD 13:28:00 240305000477 R/O observed a vehicle that matched the description of a stolen vehicle identified via an LPR hit as the vehicle travelled westbound in the Unit Block of H Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the tag confirmed the vehicle was reported as stolen out of Prince George's County, Maryland. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 900 Block of North Capitol Street NE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a revoked permit status in Virginia, and no permit status in the District of Columbia or Maryland. Additionally, the Suspect was subject to an active, extraditable warrant issued out of Montgomery County, Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed. CSS responded, and processed the scene. During an inventory search of the vehicle, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, that included a round glass receptacle which contained a white rock substance that tested positive for cocaine, were discovered.
NO PERMIT | DCC 50DC1401.01 + ADDITIONAL CHARGES: COUNTERFEIT TAGS | DCMR 18DCMR1104.4 11:52:00 240304000466 R/O observed a vehicle that displayed a Maryland temporary tag, which appeared to be counterfeit, as the vehicle travelled westbound in the Unit Block of D Street NW. R/O conducted a WALES/NCIC check which returned no listing found for the tag. A traffic stop was conducted in the 400 Block of New Jersey Avenue NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest, transported to Headquarters, and processed.
