The WALES/NCIC inquiry also revealed the Suspect was subject to an active warrant out of the District of Columbia and confirmed by USCP Communications. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags revealed the tags belong to a different vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated in the Unit Block of I Street SW. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected a smell consistent with cannabis emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

| DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE - 1ST OFF + POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL NO PERMIT | 2:34:00 | 250112000089 | R/O observed a vehicle displaying expired tags stopped in a hazardous location eastbound on Interstate 695 near I-395 and the Suspect walking into the express lanes. While speaking with the Suspect, R/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath and the Suspects eyes were bloodshot red and watery/glassy. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Virginia or Maryland. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During a subsequent inventory search of the Suspect's vehicle, an open container of an alcoholic beverage was found on the front passenger floorboard. | |

A WALES/NCIC revealed the vehicle's registration expired in December 2024, but the vehicle's tag was displaying December 2025. A traffic stop was conducted in the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. The R/O smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. SFSTs were conducted and due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

The Suspect made a right turn into the Unit Block of Massachusetts Avenue NW failing to stop at a red signal and failing to maintain its lane. A traffic stop was conducted in the 800 Block of Second Street NW. Upon approach, R/O smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming the Suspects vehicle. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. |
