A WALES/NCIC check of the driver revealed they had a suspended North Carolina operator's permit and no permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. While conducting an inventory search, R/O discovered open bottles with contents that emitted a smell consistent with an alcoholic beverage. | |
| FIRE REPORT | 3:50:00 | 2.41022E+11 | R/O responded to a report of a fire in the Capitol Visitor Center's North Gift Shop. Upon arrival, a small fire was found in the battery compartment under the seat of a nearby riding floor buffer. Fire extinguished without injuries or significant damage to the surrounding area. | |

Upon approach, R/O observed the Suspect had a watery, red tint in their eyes, and a strong odor of marijuana was emanating from the Suspect's vehicle. A stop was conducted at the same location. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active warrant through the United States Marshal Service for a probation violation.
