BUYING, RECEIVING OR POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY + LOANING REGISTRATION, MISUSE OF TEMPORARY TAGS 17:03:00 250502001422 R/O observed a vehicle not displaying a rear tag while traveling on the wrong side of the road in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SE. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Independence Avenue SW. During the course of the investigation, R/O observed two different hard tags inside the vehicle, one from Maryland and one from Virginia. Additionally, neither of the tags were registered to the Suspect's vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Maryland tag was stolen out of Annapolis, Maryland. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
FAILURE TO APPEAR 21:19:00 250502001524 R/O observed a vehicle traveling with suspended registration in the 100 Block of E Street SE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of New Jersey Avenue SE. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed an active bench warrant issued by the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 0:13:00 250502001410 R/O observed a vehicle driving in the 200 Block of Fourth Street SW with a paper dealer tag taped to the vehicle. R/O conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of Washington Avenue SW. A WALES/NCIC inquiry of the driver revealed they had no valid permit status in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
DUI ALCOHOL OF DRUGS + TRAFFIC ACCIDENT - PROPERTY DAMAGE ONLY 18:50:00 250501001403 R/O responded to the 200 Block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE for a report of a traffic accident. While speaking with the Complainant whose vehicle was struck by the Suspects vehicle, R/O observed the Suspect walk across the street. R/O stopped the Suspect. While speaking with the Suspect, A/O detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from the Suspects breath. SFSTs were conducted, and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene.
FLEEING A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - RECKLESS DRIVING 12:26:00 250501001374 R/O observed a vehicle traveling on Washington Avenue SW, cross over a solid line, and change lanes without a signal. R/O followed the vehicle for several blocks onto Fourth Street SW. R/O attempted a traffic stop when the Suspect fled at a high rate of speed, running lights and crossing into oncoming traffic on Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The Suspect was last seen traveling westbound on Pennsylvania Avenue NW. A canvass of the area was met with negative results.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY 16:31:00 250501001400 R/O observed an individual in the Upper Senate Park matching the description of a Suspect who was barred from all Senate Grounds. A WALES/NCIC confirmed the Suspect had an active barring notice from all Senate Grounds. CID was notified and responded to the scene for further investigation. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
NO PERMIT 9:53:00 250430001360 R/O observed a vehicle traveling in the Unit Block of Independence Avenue SW with an expired registration. R/O initiated a traffic stop at the same location. A WALES inquiry through USCP Communications confirmed the expired status. A WALES inquiry of the driver revealed a suspended Maryland permit, with no status in the District of Columbia, or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
UNREGISTERED AMMO-MISD 10:40:00 250501001384 R/O observed an individual enter the Capitol Visitor Center and placed their bag through the X-ray machine. The image on the X-ray screen displayed what appeared to be ammunition. An administrative search of the Suspect's bag revealed 9 rounds of ammunition. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS interviewed the Suspect.
NO PERMIT + MISUSE OF TAGS 18:18:00 250430001372 R/O observed a vehicle with expired tags traveling Southbound in the Unit Block of E Street NE. RO conducted a traffic stop in the Unit Block of D Street NW. A WALES/NCIC check of the tags confirmed they were expired and revealed they were registered to a different vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed that the Suspect had no valid permit in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing.
SIMPLE ASSAULT 15:53:00 250430001367 R/O while on a post observed an individual assaulting another individual in the Unit Block of Louisiana Avenue NW. As R/O responded to the scene, a passerby was able to intervene until R/O was able to detain the Suspect. The Complainant stated that she did not know the Suspect and did not consent to being touched. CSS responded and processed the scene. The Suspect was placed under arrest and CIS was notified and will continue to investigate.
