DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE - FIRST OFFENSE | 3:05:00 | 240619001577 | R/O responded to the 400 Block of North Capitol Street NE for a report of an unconscious driver. While on scene, R/O observed the Suspect slumped over with the engine running. When R/O attempted to get the Suspects attention, the Suspect began driving. R/O yelled for the Suspect to place the vehicle in park and the Suspect complied. The Suspect consented to SFSTs. Due to multiple signs of impairment, the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |

While trying to engage in a conversation, the Suspect struck R/O and walked away. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
PERMIT REVOKED - OAR + FAILURE TO EXHIBIT PERMIT POSSESSION OF OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL (POCA) | 18:08:00 | 240617001554 | R/O observed a vehicle that displayed an expired registration, and travelled east in the 100 Block of Independence Avenue SW. A traffic stop was conducted at the same location. The Suspect was unable to provide R/O with an operators permit. A WALES/NCIC check of the Suspect revealed a revoked driver's license in the District of Columbia, with no status in Maryland or Virginia. R/O observed an open container of alcohol on the floorboard of the vehicle. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - UNDER $1,000 - MISD + UNLAWFUL ENTRY OF A MOTOR VEHICLE RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY- MISD THEFT SECOND DEGREE (THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE) POSS IMPLEMENTS OF CRIME POSSESSION OF UNREGISTERED AMMUNITION | 10:17:00 | 240617001547 | R/O responded to the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE for the report of an individual breaking into vehicles. A lookout for the Suspect was broadcast by USCP Communications. R/O observed an individual matching the description of the Suspect in the 100 Block of F Street NE. The Subject was stopped in the same location. The Suspect consented to a search of their property. R/O discovered a pouch containing ammunition in the Suspect's backpack. Search incident to arrest revealed instruments used to break into vehicles, and items stolen from the Complainants' vehicles. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified. | |
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE + THEFT FIRST DEGREE (STOLEN AUTO) UNLAWFUL ENTRY OF A MOTOR VEHICLE RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY $1000 OR MORE THEFT SECOND DEGREE (THEFT FROM BUILDING) X 5 | 13:26:00 | 240617001548 | R/O responded to the 300 Block of First Street NE (Lot 19) for the report of an individual attempting to steal a vehicle. On scene investigation revealed multiple Witnesses observed the Suspect enter a vehicle on the lot without authorization and attempted to drive off the lot before being confronted by Witnesses. The Suspect exited the vehicle and then fled on foot. A/O observed the Suspect running northbound on First Street NE. R/O observed the Suspect in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. and placed him under arrest. The Suspect was then transported to Headquarters for processing. Further investigation revealed, while reviewing CCTV footage, the Suspect stashed a bag in the bushes while fleeing Lot 19. The bag was later recovered by CIS. The bag contained several electronic items that were reported stolen from multiple staffers of the U.S. Capitol Building. A Complainant later identified the Suspect as the individual seen in the area of the stolen electronics in the U.S. Capitol Building. CIS responded to assist in the investigation, and CSS responded to process the scenes. | |
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS | 23:01:00 | 240615001540 | R/O observed a vehicle proceeding at an unreasonable speed, traveling southbound in the 600 Block of North Capitol Street NW. A traffic stop was conducted in the Unit Block of D Street NW. While speaking to the Suspect, R/O noticed a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from inside the vehicle. SFST's were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment, the Suspect was arrested and transported to Headquarters for processing. | |
TRAFFIC - DUI ALCOHOL OR DRUGS + NO PERMIT POSS OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE POSSESSION OF AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL | 1:13:00 | 240615001536 | R/O observed a vehicle abruptly turn left from the center lane striking a curb in the Unit Block of Columbus Circle NE. The vehicle proceeded westbound in the eastbound lane of the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 Block of Massachusetts Avenue NE. Upon approach, R/O detected the faint odor consistent with the a drug emanating from inside the Suspect's vehicle. A WALES/NCIC check revealed the Suspect had no status in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia. SFSTs were conducted and due to numerous signs of impairment , the Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters for processing. During the vehicle inventory search, the center console contained 11 zip baggies with a white powdery substance which was later revealed as cocaine. In addition, a black plastic bag containing an open alcoholic beverage was located on the side floor board. CSS responded and processed the scene. | |
ASSAULT WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON + CARRY DANGEROUS WEAPON - MISD POSS PROHIBITED WEAPON - OTHER ASSAULT ON A POLICE OFFICER (SIMPLE ASSAULT) DISORDERLY CONDUCT - INCITING VIOLENCE RESISTING ARREST | 15:15:00 | 240615001538 | R/O observed an irate Suspect screaming and throwing bike racks around the North Screening shack of the U.S. Capitol Building. R/O observed the Suspect with unknown items in his hands. The Suspect did not comply with verbal commands and proceeded to throw an item, striking A/O-1. The Suspect continued to resist and not comply with the Officer's commands. A/O-2 was injured while attempting to place the Suspect in handcuffs. The Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to MPD 1D for processing. CSS responded and processed the scene. CIS was notified and will continue to investigate. | |
